    I don't think he's a good fit.

I appreciate the numbers he puts up. I like how he has been in a closer.

But he's not a pg. He's not worth the money he's likely to get. He's never played with a post presence and I'm not confident that would help him(leary to the opposite extreme, quite frankly).

Basically, I would take him for Shane or slightly above Shane money. But I wouldn't want to give up anything other than cap space or late 1sts for him in addition to cap space. So there is almost zilch chance of it happening to my particular satisfaction.

I think we are hoping to some day look at Ben Gordon as a poor man's Brooks, Brooksball.

I appreciate that you like the shorties. (I don't mean shawtys)

Gordon is another streaky shooter. We have enough of those... and as for the guy who said Pietrus is a good choice, GSW fans beg to differ. For some reason they see him as a dumb french fry

I think the most realistic and best fit we could get is someone like Josh Childress

Athletic as hell, works his butt off on offence and defence.

    lol

i'll never understand why pepole are in love with Ron Artest. The guy is not reliable at all. if we get him (which we wont) dont be suprised if he wants to leave to record a rap album in the middle of the season.

NiceRollin- Even without Yao, if the rox had artest, this series would be over. The rox probably could beat lakers with tracy and artest. He's a little off, but he's a great defender, competitor, and matchup problem. He's the over the top type guy the rox really need.

Yep undersized 2 guards who are streaky are hard to find. Hey we have Luther! Gordon is better than Luther but the Rockets are better w/o Gordon. And say no to Pietrus, the French Trainwreck as GS fans say.

Are you serious, do you watch basketball. Gordon is a ballhogg and thinks he is a star that should be getting paid 15 mill a year, he only likes to jack it up like Mike James.

I thought he could play PG whenhe was in college..remember his tandem with Okafor? but he's a ball hog to me when I saw him in the nba...he can replace Bjax position to bring scoring off the bench...but w/ the money he's asking for? Nah!!! I'd rather trade for his teammate Hinrich..a player who can replace Alston and needs a fresh new start

For those that don't think gordon would fit well,ur wrong. Why? T-Mac is the pg. So getting a sg trapped in a pg body works.

DD, Gater, and I have been abourd with the idea and if u really break down Gordon, he or artest make a lot of sense.

When u see Gordon, he's more in the andrew toney/dumars type. He's 6'3 and 200lbs. He's strong and explosive. Unlike Luther, he can create his own shot and shooter over bigger players. He can get u into ur offense, but we know Tracy runs the offense. He shoots 43fg and 41 3 pt as the best offensive option in chicago. Not to mention, he's played with post player in Curry. If he get the same looks alston gets, he'll get 17ppg on 12 shots. Top that off,he's a big shot maker. He makes a lot of sense and really could play that peja role coming off picks and screen. The only to get him is sign and trade. The one good thing is the bulls have done it before. Just like DD said, tracy is the new pippen in a sense. He can be 19-7-6 if u get some guys that can finish and hit shots. Yao-Gordon-Mcgrady would be good for 60ppg. Throw in scola at 12 and shane/childress get u 20ppg, now u have 90ppg from 6 players. Add brooks, landry, and possibly mihm or elson, now ur talking about scoring 102 and giving up 94. Now talking a ring.

    Couldn't agree more.

He's not a PG, he would essentially be acquired to become our 6th man/backup SG. The rich man's Luther Head comparison is perfect. Roughly the same size and roughly the same playing making abilities, but Gordon is simply a much more gifted offensive player and shooter. Plus, as mentioned, he's clutch and a proven 4th quarter assassin.

Sign and trade for $7 million or less is a good, fair suggestion for a player in that type of role. Unless of course, Gordon goes into "I'm a star: i'm still worth 5 years, $50 million" crazy talk mode.

Offensively, it makes sense. But defensively, if he can't take the point guard, what good is that? That's why I prefer somebody like Hinrich. Hinrich can shoot it, drive and dish, and on top of that, he can D up the point guard.

The thing is everyone wants this offense to morph into the old sacramento offense. The deal is that's not tracy game to be peja, but that's gordon's game. If u run him off screens with yao on the blks and tracy at the point, u have something. He curls, rubs, and flatten out very well. When u play 2 man with yao, and put him backside, defenders have to close out under control and even then he can shoot the 3 or get to the rack and finish. He defends pretty good. I actually think he's really good especially since he's been guardin bigger players his entire career.

Gordon doesn't play defense. Hinrich switches to the bigger/better player.
