I was thinking about posting the exact same topic . . .

    my favorites (in order):

    1. Corona
    2. Miller High Life
    3. Shiner Bock
    4. Guiness
    5. Red Stripe
    6. Heineken

Only beer that I didn't like was Fat Tire. There are still a TON of beers I need to try.

What? Two words: Smirnoff ice. Comes in a clear bottle, tastes great.

But then again, I only drink here and there, so what the hell do I know compared to you drunk-posting alchoholics? ;) At least my liver is still intact.

For anyone who hasn't had a Boddington's, it's very much like a lighter, smoother Guiness. Even has the same neat-o can. Hell, even women can drink it (you'll never see one drinking a Guiness).

I used to be a Guiness man myself, but once you've tried a Boddy, you'll never go back... Also, if you like Newcastle or Harp, you'll probably like Boddy. Smoother than a Bass, too.

I have always had problems with heartburn and beer, but I have yet to get heartburn from a Boddy. In fact, it usually cures it...

Only problem is it's relatively hard to find - alot of bars don't carry it.

Heineken can't be topped, for me at least. If I'm feeling guilty, I'll take an Amstel.

With my money situation, I'm strictly cheapy for now. Old Style, High Life, etc.

My main bargain right now is 30 Reddogs for $8.99.

Newcastle on tap (Lynus too). I don't care for it much in the bottle.

treeman-I drink Guiness, not often though. I don't drink anything often. :)

That's probably a good policy, Princess (not drinking often). I admit that I drink more than I probably should...

I have never seen a woman drink Guiness. Interesting...

If you like Guiness and Newcastle, you'd love a Boddy.

I personally drink Shiner Bock regularly, but that's definitely not the best beer. I like Guinness from the tap. I still don't know my favorite beer though. I'm constantly on the search but I live in a small town and I'm lucky to even get Shiner Bock.

I don't know how anyone can like Amstel though. I thought that Coors Light was watery, but damn! Amstel sucks so bad.

I do like Heineken because it's nice and skunky, Grolsch is the same.

    Foster's sucks.

You can find good taste in some of the micro-brewery's in Austin or Houston and I have a friend that makes some good home brew.

Now that I think about it, if I could pick the best beer that I've ever drank somewhat regularly,
it's Samuel Adams. I love the stuff, but it's too rich to drink more than four or five, then I have to go back to Shiner Bock or Bud Light.

Of the three big ones, I choose Bud Light over Coors Light and Miller Lite.

I don't like Bud heavy much.

Michelob kicks as$ though for mainstream stuff.

I'm drunk right now from Shiner Bock, Guiness in a bottle which isn't that good, and Shiner Heifenweizen (not sure about the spelling).

Good times here in Brenham, the live music capital of Washington County.

Lynus made me drink one in London this summer. It wasn't my favorite, but not bad.

Don't know if Lynus has had Boddy. If not, we'll both have to try one. That'll be on our list of things to do! :)

    And thank you again, btw.

Rogue out of Oregon makes some fine beers.
Shiner. From what I understand, the quality has gone down some.
    Abita Turbo Dog.
    Green King Pale Ale.
    Celis white.
    Lone Star Bock.

Fill a pitcher with coffee, put in some super dark rye bread, and a full ashtray. That's Guinness.

I will substitute a Celis wherever a Boddy is unavailable...

Shiner Bock is #1 in my book. Too bad I can't get it in NYC. :(
    #2 - Killian's Red
    #3 - Honey Brown
(see a trend in the beer I like?)
