I think we can be classy even if they arent. would you want your team to resort to cheap tricks/fouls just because another team did? No, you'd want them to still be classy and be the better team in that aspect. Why shouldn't that also apply to fans?

And its not just about how we talk about the Lakers, but also our own team, that's being overlooked big time..

I am proud of the Rockets ---taking the Lakers to 7 games---awesome achievement.....I work with diehard and bandwagon Laker fans who had been crowing and shouting ot anyone who would listen that the series was over before it started.....

I do not hate the Lakers-do not like some of their fans though......I do hate the Jazz and their fans-also some San Antonio fans really suck

I do think the Derek Fisher shot on Scola was hoping he would retaliate and get kicked out----very bad--so IMHO Fisher Sucks ass

Wait, you think it's better to hate someone because you think they're a bad person (we really never truly know these people) than for something you see them do? I think it makes much more since to consider someone a dirty player if you know for a fact they routinely make dirty plays.

And, as much as i like Scola's game he has made more than a few dirty plays.

    Be classy? Another WTF moment.

You gotta fight fire with fire. This is what being a fan is all about!

The Rockets don't take crap from any team so should the FANS!

    Damn RV6 you're a p***y.

lol.. I'm proud of this team for showing the world what the Lakers really are.. and I can't wait until LeBron completely humiliates Kobe in front of the world, using the knowledge that he gains from this series.

Yeah, Classy like the games out of reach and Kobe comes in late in the game. The fans singing Nah Nah Nah Goodbye. I still hate the Lakers and I am rooting for dare I say the Nuggets to win the series and go on the finals but the NBA would rather have Lebron vs. Kobe anyways will see what happens.

So we're suppose to respect players on other teams instead some of our players? (Tmac, Yao)

If you make thread about not saying things like "kobe rapes little girls" but don't mind "tmac go play in traffic" than there's a problem.

I agree with not going too far with things like death wishes or making fun of a family member with a disability but kobe/lakers are/is a douchebag(s), he deserves all the respectable-hate because of his b****y cocky attitude. If the other team does not show respect why give it to them?

    I don't believe in p***y mentalities...

sorry if i didn't explain myself well......ultimately you can't control people's feelings and views, so if fans hate players for a certain reason then that's something only they can control...what i meant was, don't mix up your hate for a player with how you feel about them as people. I was refering to how some fans don't leave everything within the game, they take it to a more personal territory.

It's like the comment i made about kicking Gasol's kid. Gasol hasn't shown he's dirty, at least not more than the avg player who pushes around here and there. If you want to hate him in the heat of the moment cus he pushes someone, that's understandable, but some of these fans will wish the worst for him just because of that, they could see him walking around town and want to spit in his drink or "kick his kid", etc. All i'm saying is learn to separate the two. If the players can do it, and they are the ones actually living this, then fans should be able to as well.

did you even read what i wrote? it's more about what you do outside the 48 mins of basketball. It's one thing to not take any **** on the court, it's another to act that way off of it, do you actually believe off the court, hell even before or after the game, Ron talks **** to Kobe?? No way, maybe joking around, but they dont get into it outside the game, it's certain fans who think they do, they think that if ron saw Kobe on the street he'd stare him down or something, but they'd probably say hello and have a drink together....learn to separate game emotions from "real life"...that's all i mean..

WTF??? i SPECIFICALLY called out fans who also dont respect our own players...........some fans say Brooks was dumb for making a dumb decision, that i can understand even if i dont agree, but to insult him just because he took an open shot and happened to miss, that doesn't make sense period.

Sure it is common sense not to go overboard with the celebration after a WIN. But to remain conservative in the gloating department just takes the fun away of being a FAN. After all it is all about bragging rights!

Yes I saw that, but the thread was directed to the lakers as in main topic.

If you want to proceed on calling out people who insult our players, than make a thread about it too.

You have the right concept and your not a dumb or ignorant poster but this board is corrupt..... by hate every where. if asking fans to respect their own players turns into a war thread than what do you expect a thread asking to respect kobe and the fakers is going to go like?

The sooner you realize that most of the people on this board are closed minded, the better.
