1. How is Baylor University? (For pre-med, social activities, environment, honors program, academic rigor) 2. Is it worth it if you get full scholarship to go there?
first off I am lazy so I just pasted a few links for you vsttexas09... hope you get some good feedback and of course for me I don't assume you researched the Baylor main web pages addressing some of your questions... If you have already that is really all I can contribute A. For pre-med (no idea, did you see this link?) http://www.baylor.edu/prehealth/index.php?id=36406 B. social activities http://emt.askadmissions.net/baylor/aeresults.aspx?did=2&cid=2444&quser=social+activities C. environment - this link really explains it best on the environment http://www.baylor.edu/visit/ D. honors program http://www.baylor.edu/honorscollege/ E. academic rigor http://www.baylor.edu/admissions/index.php?id=57140 As far as is it worth it if you get full scholarship to go there question... No doubt, congrats on getting a full ride to a great central Texas school.
So from Ivy League, to Georgetown to UT and now to Baylor? The only thing falling faster these days is the stock market.
NSSH 2009 Salutatorian and Future Longhorn -according to your signature but my friend is also in the same situation as you and he is also on clutchfans idk about all his scholarship stuff but he is deciding between UT and baylor right now so i am sure he is gonna be looking at this lol
I went to Baylor and it is was a good experience. From an undergraduate standpoint, all of it's academics are pretty well rated but it is what you make of it. I have two friends that made the best of their time there and both were admitted into Harvard Business straight out of undergrad, which happens rarely. If you have a full ride, take it. It has a good environment, small classes, unbelievable facilities, including the new 500,000 sf science center, and last but not least the most beautiful women on any campus in Texas. Best thing to do is go take a tour and schedule it on a weekend where you can go catch a baseball game.
It certainly is. I could only tolerate the place for a year. A guy got his ass kicked in my dorm for being gay. I got called a godless heathen and got a bunch of dicks keyed into my car, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't hold a lot of love for the place. And Waco is an absolutely horrid town.
Baylor is one of the absolute best universities in central Texas. I'd really consider the opportunity.
Loved the school.....didnt care too much for the people. I got along with them, but didnt appreciate the snooty attitude alot of them had. I mean, it is what you get being a very expensive private university. I loved the classes though! BU BEARS!!!
Don't underestimate the levels of Jesus-crazy there. I did my time at a baptist school and it nearly drove me insane. Just so you know.
