After a not so memorable offensive performances in games 1 &2 Shane Battier took a deep breath and unloaded big 3 after big 3 in Game 3.

This is the Shane Battier Rockets fans have known, but not seen much of this year. Shane gaining more confidence in his shot is the best thing the Rockets can have going for them right now, and it couldn't have come more on que.
I expect Shane to keep this swagger from here on out, and keep dropping those bombs, Shane's offensive production is just as important as his defensive and when he is hitting shot and creating for others, nobody can stop this team. Only hope to contain them.

Good luck Portland, you WILL need it.

i disagree it's the shane we've known, he scored 16, above his avg of about 10. His confidence is there, i think he just realizes with Yao's situation there's more attempts to go around so he's got to take more, before he didnt want to take more because he'd be directly taking attempts from Yao, right now he's not since we can't get the ball to yao to begin with.

I'm not sure what you mean he created for others

I agree. Battier always does just what needs to be done. The first two games were dictated by Yao, Artest, and Brooks. Since Artest wasn't taking shots and Yao was being doubled constantly, Battier took more shots. I love how Battier always drains a 3 when we need it most. He did it throughout the regular season, and did it twice today. It's just so clutch, gets me all excited thinking about it!

Sorry, over this past season, I've developed a major man-crush on Shane Battier :p

All the Bitter Battier Bashers of the BBS snarl in contempt at such a notion.

Nice reversal of Artest being the non-shooting defender only and Battier the the guy contributing on offense this game.
