Sounds like shane went through a microfracture surgery the the way he speaks about his ankle and how there is no timetable for him to even begin practice.Seems like his injury was serious how he is taking his time to recover,I thought his surgery was minor. Is he out until the all star break or what, doesn't look like he'll be back anytime soon. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6089422.html Rockets forward Shane Battier dramatically stepped up his workload in his rehabilitation of his sore left foot Thursday, though it remains unclear when he could practice for the first time this season. Battier on Thursday added more quick, reaction cuts, the sort that prevents him from bracing his left ankle to prepare for the stress. Battier plans to continue to add to the workouts as long as his foot responds the next day, but could not predict when he will try to join the Rockets practices. “This is the first day I did light contact with Shawn Respert (Rockets director of player programs),” Battier said. “I did some quasi-running. I started to get fatigued in the end. That’s why I stopped. I have to build up the strength. The most dangerous thing with a weak ankle is when you start to fatigue the muscles in your ankle. It puts a lot more stress on the joint, and that puts you back to the usual problems. “The more I do every day, the more it builds up strength to where I can get that muscle strength back. ”
with battier in there, we will be so much more deadly, i dont think we would have struggled against the mavs on thursday if we had him.
idk if it was just me, but during the mavs game i heard them say that adelman said it'd be about 2 more weeks before they get him back. anyone else hear that or am i delusional?
i can't image the team without the core players for a long time juz like Spurs! our 'president' will come back at the same time with Obama empire founded
hope he's able to come back in time for the Celtics game, but my gut feeling tells me, its very unlikely but then, AB did prove my gut feeling wrong before we need to limit T-macs minutes at the moment, he still needs time to be 100%, so having Battier back will definitely help.
Word Battier is very important to our team. Too bad he won't play against Celtics, I wanted to see the full matchup.
