Why didn't Battier stay on Roy??
In the 4th they switched back to Artest on Roy
Battier was doing a better job

No need for a ban, this is a legitimate topic.

Why? I also think that Shane gets around the high screens better than Ron does

I'm losing all respect for Roy. He's a good player, but all he does is shoot and fall. Then complains about not getting a foul call.

Then the announcers laugh at Lowry for complaining about a call and say, "You can't complain about every call." Right... do they even watch the game?

Do you want everyone to post a question they have on their mind? Do you? One sentence questions? I have plenty. Maybe I should start.

Why didn't Yao get in Ron Artest's face?
Why didn't Yao throw an elbow?
Why didn't Battier take more shots? It would spread the defense more.
Why didn't Brooks take more shots prior to the last 2 minutes?
Why didn't Wartortle evolve into Blastoise?

Hmmm, let's see. A question about defending the player putting his team on his shoulders...

Yeah, threadworthy. Go pout somewhere else

man, you have no ideas , do you!

the way Roy played this game, there is no way anyone could stop him!

we should double team him, if you gonna lose, let the role player beat you, the way Blazers played tonight, there are only two players can score!

I agree battier needs to be on roy. he fights through the picks and screens much better than artest. i know adleman like battier as a help defender on roy or to take charges but roy is too good for that. I would like to put artest on alridge to see how that matchup favors that rockets. just like we sometimes put artest on dirk. roy-alridge pick and roll can be slowed by shane and ron.

Maybe Artest isn't the defender I thought he was.

If Roy is gonna put up 42 freaking points, then the Rockets are in a world of hurt.

The Rockets defense needs to be better at home.

Of course the loss of Deke might have played a role. But still, the D needs to be improved.

It all boils down to quickness.. Roy can just blow by Ron-Ron with ease.. Battier is capable of staying with roy because he is clever and takes the right position most often than not. Ron plays totally physical defense. nothing more. nothing less.. doesnt work on the quicker guards..

None of them played defense well. Aldridge was nailing his jumpers with and1s while being guarded by Artest or Scola. Aldridge + Roy was ruining our defense. Yao seemed unemotional for the most part in playing defense.

To me, it seems like we weren't really playing defense that well.

I was missing Mutumbo throughout the entire game.

Reasons for Battier is below. Check NBA.com.

Wafer Substitution replaced by Battier 2:47
    2:24
[POR 96-90] Roy 3pt Shot: Made (39 PTS)
    Assist: Przybilla (3 AST)

    Battier Foul:Shooting (5 PF) 0:39
    0:39
[POR 99-92] Roy Free Throw 1 of 2 (40 PTS)
    0:39
[POR 100-92] Roy Free Throw 2 of 2 (41 PTS)
