He's off Not much to recab. No such thing as a lock down defensive guy. He has backup (Yao). He tries his best with good rest, vitamins, game planning and at the end of the day, if LB, KB, etc. goes off for 30+, then so be it. As long as he tried his very best. They need to win as much as possible because a 2 game losing streak could land them out of the playoff!!!
I caught most of the interview. Shane mostly talked about his work ethic, what it takes to go in and focus day in / day out, etc. Says he learned to be successful by working the hardest, something he learned at an early age and playing for Coach K. Rome said he has his vote when he runs for the Senate.
Rome's so uninformed. Shane can't possibly run for Senate, he'll already be tied down to his duties as the Commissioner of the NBA.
So Shane Battier and Hulk Hogan have similar philosophies. "TRAIN, SAY YOUR PRAYERS, EAT YOUR VITAMINS! BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, TRUE TO YOUR COUNTRY, BE A REAL AMERICAN!"
Exactly what you would expect. Only about a 5 minute segment. He's a freakin' politician, nothing juicy. Rome was all over his knob as usual for his guests.
