The demo made me go read the reviews. the reviews made me go buy the game... the demo was a lot of fun...suspiciously fun.
Local ToysRus had "Buy one ps3 game, get other half off" deal going on. Ended up getting a gift card worth $30 on top off that. Take a look at your local ToysRus, you might pretty much end up with a free game.
I checked and they're doing the same buy one, get half off promotion here in San Diego until Sat. What did you do to get the gift card? Did they just give it to you without asking?
They had a promo from 10-2 today. You would get a $30 gift card with Rewards card (card is free. just sign up). $20 without the rewards card. I was told you can still get the gift card but only $20 after 2 pm, not $30. Great deal, either ways.
Are you in Houston Zboy? I saw on another forum that some TRU's were doing some unadvertised BOGO half off deal, but saw no such signs in the 2 stores I visited today, First Colony and Galleria.
No, sorry. I am in NY. You might want to ask the clerk in the electronics section and try scanning two games in. The one at my store did not know about it but when she tried it, it worked. She said it might be a glitch. She honored it though. As long as they scan at half off, I think they will let you have it. It worked for PS3 games, not Xbox. ---- Reason # 43 to get a PS3 over Xbox.
I think TRU is giving a $20 gift card with the purchase of the game no matter what. Supposedly Best Buy has a price match policy, and it even covers promotions like TRU's. So if you don't want the $20 gift card, you might get them to match it. On other forums they are saying BB might argue against it, but their retail store price match page (on the website) says specifically that they match those types of promotions. Worth a shot.
I went to TRU yesterday and they did have the promotion, but the guy in electronics said the gift card was only if you got Batman Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately, they sold out of the game about an hour after it went on sell. I ended up getting Valkyria Chronicles and Fallout 3. Oh well.
im not much of a gamer, but ive played a LOT of games and this might be the best licensed game ive ever played...it's like MSG, but replace snake with batman. mix in a little hitman too..it's just a lot of fun...
yeah get into it! Obviously im not sure if this game is perfect, because i finally got into it last night for about 2 hours or so....but i will say that i had to force myself to turn it off because it was 1 AM and i had to work today. If you liked Metal Gear (who didnt?) and Hitman i think you'll really like this game. Lots of stealth and strategy involved when fighting the bad guys...getting through heavily guarded areas without being seen. you cant go head on with gunmen, or you'll be in trouble..stuff like that. The voices are very well done too. Who wouldve though Mark Hamil would do a good joker voice.
I was going to buy this game at Best Buy the other day because they were including Mask of the Phantasm/Mr. Freeze DVD AND a $10 gift card. but apparently they ran out of the DVD set. maybe i should have bought it anyway for the $10 GC.
well, that's even better. it's just that i have a couple of BB GCs right now. i guess i can use on something else.
I'm assuming you never watched the Animated Series that came out in the 90's, because Hamill did the voice of Joker on that show as well as some of its spinoffs. A large chunk of the voice cast from the show reprised their characters in the video game. Paul Dini was the main writer for the show and also did the main writing on the game. If you're a batman fan, the animated series is well worth watching. I still think Mask of the Phantasm is the third best batman movie, only behind the Nolan films.
I only started watching the animiated series a few years ago (on noggin). joker was hillarious on that show. didnt know hamil did the voice.
I don't really play many video games, but my coworker picked this up and now I've been playing it and this game is FREAKING AWESOME.
