Hi, I am looking to buy a pair of basketball shoes after playing in Hyperdunks for 3 years. The maximum I would spend is $140 on a pair. I was thinking about getting Kobe V, but they do not have any ankle support. Is ankle support overrated?
I bought the KD 2's for $60 a couple of weeks ago (the price went down significantly after the release of the KD 3's). Very comfortable, great look, affordable, and have received widespread praise. Amar'e Stoudemire fell in love with them last year... consistently wore them with the Suns, and still occasionally wears them with NY.
Ankle support barely helps. If you sprain your ankle in high-tops, there's little difference from doing the same in low-cuts. That being said. Buy flip flops.
Have the hyperdunks even been out for 3 years? I got the hyperfuses a few weeks ago for $80. Great shoe, lightweight, great support, and they look great and come in some fly colorways. One problem, the swoosh on the right shoe is starting to peel, and the same thing has happened to some friends who also one fuses. I would still recommend them though, the hyperdunks 2010 as well.
I've been needing a new pair of shoes to hoop in. Well today I get home from work and my mom tells me she bought me some, I was surprised. Excited to see what I got I walk into my closet & find.. Spoiler I didn't want to make my mom feel bad so I just gave em a shot. Hooped in em today & boy are they comfy!!! It's not about the shoe but what you can do in the shoe!
I like any of the Kobe IV, V, or VI to play basketball in. I've also heard mixed reviews about the KD 2's and Hyperfuses.
