My question is what program is being used in this video at the 2:00 mark to make that on a computer. I would love to know and have this teaching tool to teach my new assistant coaches plays we'll be running this year. I could always just write them down manually on court templates, but doing it this way seems a better idea.

I am not sure what program they are using but here's the link to a site that has a lot of play animated like that. http://www.coachesclipboard.net/Animations.html

For my players and assistant, I copied and pasted a court diagram in to Word and inserted text boxes, arrows instead of manually writing the info in. I usually make a playbook for all the players and my assistant.

have you tried microsoft powerpoint? like granville suggested, copy/paste an image of a basketball court and insert text boxes into a powerpoint slide. then click on the "animations" tab, then on "custom animations" near the top left. a panel on the right will show up. click on a text box and on the right panel, you can now click on "add effect" and then play with "motion paths." repeat with the other text boxes and play around with the timing of their motion.
