My team is now 10-3. Although its still early, I fear no one. My team is very well balanced. Reed, Morris, Park, Milton and Mulder give me 4 quality starters (Reynolds is my ace in the hole)

Helton is the best first baseman in baseball
Alfonzo will break out of his slump
Jeter is the 2nd best SS in baseball (Nomar is out)
    Batista will break out soon

    Best outfield in the league:
    Ramirez
    Bonds
Berkman (who just made a great catch on the "Hill" at Enron.

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

    2 points:

    1. Nemers has a better outfield than you (Walker, Ichiro, Juan Gonzalez).

    2. Reed isn't a very good pitcher. He will come back down to earth.

    3. (bonus point) McGwire is coming back June 5th, baby! Ashby should be back soon too. When that happens, look for a major Expo win streak.

I wish you all the luck in the world (unless youre playing against me)

Ashby is not that good, so don't get your hopes up.

We shall see who has the better outfield when all is said and done.

Have you even seen Reed pitch? He has Maddux like control. He is one of those rare pitchers, who get better with age.

Oh yeah, Mulder took a no hitter into the 7th today before giving up a hit.

    Good Luck [IMG]

Finn, you beat me by 3 whole points this past week. Mussina and Tapani had 0 points combined. My relievers didn't even get a save. If I get even an inning out of those guys you lose. Your team is good, but you can be beaten easily and handily by a fifth place team. That doesn't say a whole lot.

In end, I've got the best team.

    Colon
    Mussina
    Clemens

All Top 10 pitchers with K's.

    Rodriquez
    Glaus
    ....Best at their respective positions

    C.Johnson
...3rd best catcher behind the two hall of famers.

    Palmeiro
....Worst first baseman, but not too shabby if he gets hot.

    Pujols
    Alou
    Lofton
....Pujold and Alou rival anybody;s OF in the league. And I can use pujols at third base if needed. Lofton is weak

    Oneal
    Ramirez.
...Not great utility players. But decent.

    Foulke
    Williams
...both play for losers, but they covert every save chance and don't lose games. I'm not strong here, but I'm competetitive.

    Velarde
...he's crap, but who's got a good 2 bagger anyway.

He is so far behind him.

Nevin and Cirillo are better too.

Charles Johnson? Cmon Phi, who else do the Marlins have in their lineup? Pitchers will pitch around him and his numbers will fall.

I'll give you Chipper. I can't beat that, but Glaus isn't too far behind him.

However, Charles Johnson is much better than Posada and Kendall as an offensive weapon. I'm not saying Kendall and Posada aren't good, and Kendall the better of those two, but Charles Johnson has passed them in my opinion. He went to Florida, a hitter's hell, and his production improved. That tells you a lot obout just how good he is.
