Why are baseball players talking strike, don't they have it better than any other professional athelete in pro sports? I haven't watched baseball at all this season and don't plan on it until they fix the game. By that I mean drug testing and salary cap/revenue sharing of some kind. So why are baseball players thinking about going on strike?
They want the current economic system to stay like it is - i.e. no increased revenue sharing, no salary cap of any kind (except maybe on draft picks). The owners are driving for wholesale change, ala what the NFL & NBA have in place.
b/c the owners and player's can't figure out a deal to split up the billions they make annually so that both sides are happy.
