I love Jon Barry. I was hoping to see his fast break 3 points this season again. Damn!

But our PG situation does worried me. Skip plays 40+ minutes often lately. More than anyone else on the team. And Skip just had a long injury on his bone this season. Luther is obviously not a capable PG, at least not now. Wesly was a 2. Fitch? I thought people talked about another SG in PG body or shot 1st PG on Fitch.

Someone has to help Skip out there. He's not gonna play 40+ minutes per game till the season end effectively.

How is releasing a 36 year old injured reserve who hasn't played all year "giving up on the season?"

Seriously, I loved the guy too, but I don't understand all the sky is falling comments.

Does anybody really believe that Jon Barry can sign with a "contender"? Why can't JVG use him? Because he can't play defense with his injury. Which contending team needs shooters who can't defend? (By the way, when has Denver become a contender?)

The point is, if a team like the Rockets who suck in shooting can't use Barry, what make you think that a better team can use him? If they really want a roster spot, why not ask Barry to retire. That would have been classy for everyone involved.

I hope he does go to a playoff team and lights it up for whoever he plays for... I hate to say it but it would be sweet justice if it was against the Rockets and JVG.

Yo John, it finally happened! :D :D

Maybe I'm the only one...hell, from reading these responses, I KNOW I'm the only one, but I'm glad to see him go. Make roster room for someone younger who can develop with Yao/T-Mac. His "good" passes were peppered with some really bad ones. His pull-up 3s on the break, I was not a fan of...

But carry on with the JB missing/eulogizing...

I'm sorry, I can't join the "how dare JVG" mob. I love Barry, but his lovability and his ability to contribute are two different things. And I just don't think that with our record, injuries, and talent deficit, we can afford to spend a roster spot on lovability.

God. Start the computer and this **** news poped up (sorry W-Mac).

Choked. Barry really makes me feel he's a family member of the Rockets. It's damn shame that they don't let him retire here gracefully. Screw those management who have done some much dump things this season! :(

Did you see the 1st game this season, his 24 points were the difference in the win. Now the sky will be falling if we sigh JL3 instead of someone like TT, I am tired of seeing these NBDLers come and go on this team.

We have no role players with character now. James, Sura and Barry were guys with characters, even not every part of their game was likable.

Weird - listening to JVG before the game I still don't buy the "I felt we owed Barry the chance to play with Denver".

    It does not make sense.

Well, how can you expect an emotionless coach lead a passionate team? JVG is making the team a machine. Unfortunately this machine is not functioning well, either. I'm afraid couples years later he (if he's still here) will be still doing the fixing and experiment.
