Yeah, so does playing with the Spurs and Mavs. Barbosa is in the league with Terry and Parker right now but with more upside than either. And I think any of the 3 (Barbosa, Terry, Parker--though not quite as much because he is less comfortable taking the 3 ball) would be outstanding PGs within the Rockets system. Safely bringing the ball up, mostly working off Tmac/Yao in the half court on spot up 3s and cuts for easy baskets, and occasional creating for themselves with the right match-up or with the 2nd unit.
Only those spot up 3s. No cutting and slashing in Rox offense and very few fastbreaks. So it basically takes away two third of his game if he plays for Rox. He won't look nearly as good as he is now.
Oh yeah, another thing to consider...when players leave Phoenix you magically never hear about them again.
Oh come one, he only made the all-star game in the Eastern Conference. He only had to beat out scrubs like Redd, Prince, everybody on Chicago (Gordon, Hinrich, Deng) etc.
Honestly, the only things Barboza and VSpan have in common are: they are both human beings and they are both currently members of the NBA from different countries. That's where it ends.
There was a time when I though DaDakota was blinded by his man-crush on V-Span. After this post, I now think DaDakota IS V-Span.
