It's way early, but I'm thinking this is a bad sign for Gephardt. 52-38 in the loser's home state is less than encouraging. The survey, conducted for KOMU-TV in Columbia, shows President Bush would emerge the winner in the state in a head-to-head presidential match-up with native son Richard Gephardt of St. Louis. According to the poll, Bush has the support of 52-percent of those surveyed, compared to 38-percent for the Congressman. What particularly satisfies Republicans is the demographic breakdown. Bush leads 49-percent to 40-percent against Gephardt among women. Bush also leads Gephardt in St. Louis - 48-percent to 41-percent.
Gephardt didn't stand a chance to begin with. The nominee will either be Kerry or Edwards, unless someone who isn't on the radar screen emerges late, ala Clinton in 1992.
Yeah, he's anything but. He gives a great interview, IMO. BTW, Gore lost his home state in 2000, but he still won the election. That one's for you MadMax.
is that Clark?? sorry..but that guy looked like an absolute idiot during CNN coverage of the war. week 2 he was like, "oh, things are going really poorly...quagmire...long extended war...slowed down..blah...blah...blah...there really doesn't seem to be much of a plan." then a week later it all came crashing down...and he looked like a sad puppy. it was like watching Rather read back election returns.

I'm not surprised. And he was on Pacifica saying the problem was US "militarism." I thought he was some old senile dude from the '70s. I was surprised it was this guy so many people love.
Disclaimer I am by no means claiming that Clark would be my choice. However, judging by the choices so far, he (IMO) is the closest to having a chance to beat Bush. Only time will tell...
