I am not sure he can chase young, fast PGs.

i like it and have hoped for it..

but at the same time, i don't think he has the legs to do that all year. If we want him to play some at the 2 spot, we wouldn't be able to limit his minutes.

However, if we run him and Luther on there, they could run 1/2 on offense and flip spots on defense.. negating Luther's weaknesses somewhat.

i think a barry / wafer backcourt would cause some serious matchup problems for other teams

Yes. He's a better passer and decision maker than anyone else. Also he could be in a line-up with Artest and Battier to cover for his man to man defensive deficiencies. But he's a better team defender that anyone gives credit for.

Adelman knows he doesn't really have a true PG behind Rafer so it's a PG of committee with Brooks then Barry and *gulp* Luther sharing ballhandling duties, then TMac doing the point forward thing when he feels like it.

I hope not. I was at the game last night and he made alot of smart plays. I came away pretty impressed. If Dj cant out match wafers production I would rather him get the boot. I guess we just have to wait and see.

I really wouldn't mind Luther and Barry playing at the same time. I see on offense barry handling more of the pg duties while on D Luther manning up against the opponents pgs.

Hell, I even see Tmac running the pg position at times. This team is so deep..

which is why we'll probably trade in some depth around mid season in order to bring in a solid backup.

I would rather play tmac PG, becasue barry is too slow to play PG. Even though barry PG temporarily when he was on spurs, but the real PG work was done by manu. so when we saw barry played the PG apparently, manu was gonna be on court. have you seen such a spur squad: tim oberto bowen finley barry? no, I bet you haven't.
