Wow! Congratulations! (I thought this thread was about a small crude oil spill ) .... Is this ya'lls first?
Congrats Mr. and Mrs. JV! Welcome to the world baby LV. Your mom is a pastry chef, how cool is that? No twinkies in your lunch box, you'll be taking slices of cheese cake to school. Well, best wishes.
Congrats on the baby. One of my good friends just gave birth to his son on the 30th. First guy in our group from college and everything to get married and have a kid.
I was pretty sure you would be the one to jump on the "Swallow", but I guess you had a different idea .
I can't... My family is forever embeded with that. 1984-85: We lived in Valdez, AK. My pop was head of Alyeska's southerm port. 1989: My dad headed up the cleanup for the disaster. Meh... So hard to think of other things when "Valdez" pops up.
Thank you to everyone for your congrats and best wishes! JV, Lydia and I are all doing well although we are a bit out of commission for the time being. JV is taking a few weeks off from work to help me out which means he has found much less time for the BBS but I'm sure he'll start posting again soon. We'll post a picture of her when we can muster the mental energy it would take to figure out how.
Mrs. Valdez, If you have a photo you can email, let me know and Id be more than happy to host it for you. Congrats. BTW ......look up "Gripe Water" for gas and colic issues ....that stuff was a God send for my wife and I
Congrats. I always wanted my birthday to be around August wrather than January. Always got the christmas/birthday presents together.
Very cool. Congrats to both of you and to baby Valdez... PS -- i can relate to the bit about JV not being at work, and therefore not having the time to surf the BBS .
Congratulations !!! Lydia is a great name. I wanted that name for my daughter, but my wife had other ideas. To continue posting, you 2 will have to learn how to type one-handed.
Thanks everyone for the congratulations. Since codell was nice enough to do the work on hosting, I'll post a pic. Hope it's not too big. At 2 days old:
