I heard the song about two months ago when i got the CD, and i kind of knew that song was gonna make it as a video, the other one that i think will make it is one called "violence", it's a really good song that sounds nothing like the old blink, well the whole cd sound very different that their old stuff, which wasn't bad, but this CD is very good.
Go listen to Radiohead and be an angry pseudo-intellectual. sums - Any other recommendations besides Violence?
I just heard a blink 182 song on the radio yesterday and thought it was a cover because it sounds exactly like The Cure. It turns out that its a new song that Robert Smith sings and helped write.
Great song, reminds me of their previous song "Man Overboard". Plus if you want to hear songs like that, listen to the "Boxcar Racer", the whole album is mellow like that and their song "There Is" is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Blink is my favorite group, and i definitely agree they have grown up, and i like that. If you take a look at the booklet inside the cd case it talks about all the different songs and you end up finding out they used a bunch of different stuff musically to make it sound different. The whole cd is awesome in my opinion, I have been a fan of blinks since enema came out and i bought there older stuff as well, this new cd is one of there best if not the best of theirs.
I'm not a Blink 182 fan by any means, but I admit that I like the song. I like the way it was crafted orchestrated and comes off. I think they are doing something different with that song, and I really am shocked that I like it.
Go stick with your elitest attitude towards movies that were made popular. You remind me of this comic strip.
there is a song they do with Robert Smith of the cure called "All Of This" it's a cool song and it doesn't sound like it is for 12 year olds, im21 and i like it, and i also have "hail to the thief" from Radiohead so it's not like i don't like good music, but i will admitt it, listening to Radiohead gets me down so I don't listen to their CD's as freaquent as I do Blink, but lately I've been listening to Dynamite Hack, they're a cool band, and if you like blink, you're gonna like them, just my opinion.
Here's a good funny take on some bad music. I don't know why this came to mind while talking about Blink... The legion of mall-emo grows every day, and this crap is the soundtrack for it's followers who cry when they see dolphins and rainbows, and have an "online journal", and a Friendster profile. More or less a mutation of the common hippy, but instead of beards, dreads, jungle muff, and armpit stink, it's bad star tattoos, pierced lips, and studded belts. http://buddyhead.com/music/bestof2003
not as good as their cover of Today Was A Good Day (with its "The Rockets beat the Supersonics" lyric)
Yea "today was a good day" is a great cover cuz it's not as cheassy, but their other real "rock" songs are great, too bad they broke up.
