Is it me or did ABC edit the "Kobe Sucks" chant from the game? There were at least three to four instances.
I heard it twice when I watched it on ABC. Once when Kobe got hit in the eye I think, and another earlier in the game when he shot FT's.
you could hear a few chants on the lakers radio coverage over the Internet... also help when the Lakers commenttators talk about
I watched the whole game on ABC. I did not hear any chant of Kobe Sucks. However, I heard a nice chant of "Beat LA"
Well if you were at the game, you would of heard a "BS" chant. I'm guessing they edited that chant - "BullS#*t, BullS#@t, etc." when Yao fouled out on the Karl "kick your legs out" Malone phantom foul.
There was that dude that chanted "!#!@ you Kobe!" like three times behind Al Michaels and Doc Rivers for a while.
Hmm...the crowd was yelling Kobe Sucks throughout the entire game..or at least the area I was in did...and LA sucks..and Beat LA..and BS! And like a short chant of STEVIE..and Yao Ming song...and Boki!!! It was a great game...very nicely organized by the Rockets in Toyota Center..good entertainment..great crowd! I loved it...and too bad we lost. GO ROCKETS!!! We can win tomorrow!
Thanks. Those of us not at the game will appreciate knowing what was really being chanted there. Again, thanks.
Nope I was was watching at home, and I could hear it loud and clear..... Of course I should have listened on the radio and watched the TV like I used to have to do Oilers games...
Just FYI, announcers' mics pick up what they pick up. There isn't any way to edit crowd chants out of a live broadcast. They can blend other crowd noises to diminish it and heavily gate the announcer microphones, but they cannot eliminate that sound from a live broadcast. And, they need more than a 7-second delay to edit out sounds before being sent out.
I don't know if they are or not. I was just saying that, even if they were, that isn't enough time to make edits on the fly.
