If you go to American Airlines Arena during the NBA playoffs, I'm sure you'll see plenty of train wrecks, meltdowns, and catastrophes, if past history is any indication.

The Sixth floor museum -its a large JFK museum situated around the spot where Oswalt shot Kennedy.

The Dallas World Aquarium - don't cofuse this with the crappy Dallas Aquarium, the World Aquarium is very nice in a tropical rainforest type setting.

Dallas Blooms at the Botanical gardens is going on right now & its supposed to be very nice

Drive 30 miles to the west -

Fort Worth Zoo one of the top Zoos in the country - much nicer than the Dallas Zoo
The Forth Worth Stockyards - see Cowboy Shows, take a ride on an old steam train, watch the longhorn Cattle drive through the streets twice a day - its actually a really cool place to visit especially if you have kids.
Sundance Square - Restaurants, theatres & clubs at night with FREE secure parking
The FW Cultural district - has better pubs - Ye Olde Bush and Bull on Montgomery specifically
FW botanical Gardens & Japanese gardens are nice
FW History & Science Museum have a very nice Childrens museum..beats the crap out of the Dallas version

    Arlington -
Six Flags is open on weekends right now
Ripleys Believe it or Not museum & Palace of Wax

I was just there this past weekend at the Dallas convention center for the gaming tournament, didn't do much site seeing, though I was glad to return to Houston :)

What type of attractions are you looking for exactly? Family stuff or just general site seeing?

It was my first MLG experience, I went as a spectator, it definitely looked like a step up from last year's MLG, I say that because I remember the main matches from previous MLGs were played at the common area, there wasn't a main stage (not for starcraft anyway). But this time, not only did they have a main stage for the 'premier' match ups, there were also 2 additional areas where premier matches were played as well (the ones you won't see on the MLG stream).

Overall, I enjoyed it, I did not stay there the entire 2 days and a half, as there were more spectators than seats available. After a long day, you legs just get tired.

I would go again, but not as spectator, rather as a player. :)

I hear any outbound lanes are the best attractions, no matter which direction you're heading.
