There hasn't been one game on TV the entire season on Time Warner. Fox hasn't shown one and neither has the advertising channel. Did KFDM not get the rights to the games this year? Whats going on? If anyone in the Southeast Texas area knows what the deal is on this, I would love to help in any efforts to put pressure on the right people to return the Rockets to the tube.
hey neighbor! I am glad that you started this thread. I called Time Warner several times to asked the same question that you did, they told me that they didnt know b/c Rockets hasn't finalized their TV deal yet. (I called when the season start, and last week again), they told me just keep check back with them...so i can't wait and bought me a Direct Tv system with NBA pass....it sucks to live in this area right? HOUSTON IS THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE
I live right outside beaumont. I get Timberlake Cable rather than TW and they have ch. 51 so I get to see the games when I am home.
I thought they finalized their TV deal two weeks ago. Does anyone know of a local radio station? Houston stations don't reach this far at night. BTW, how much of a neighbor are we? I live off of HWY 105.
Well, I emailed KFDM back on opening night, and they said that they were still in "negotiations" with the Rockets organization on the number of games and such that they could get. Here is the email to the programming lady at Channel 6: jobailey@kfdm.com However, a friend of mine works at Outback, and he told me a couple of weeks ago that the opening night game was on (Pacers), so he assumed they have NBA league pass. If this doesn't get fixed soon I may be going out there a lot...
Wild Bill, 1450 AM is the local sports radio, and they claim to be "the home for the Houston Astros, Rockets, Texans", etc. That being said, I've yet to hear one Astros or Rockets game when I've checked. The only thing I've heard outside of the regular ESPN Radio programming are the Texans games on Sunday. They ran several commercials in October that would lead you to believe they'd be broadcasting the games, but apparently that isn't the case.
As far as I know, no. She told me that KFDM would post a schedule of the games to be televised as soon as the agreement was done, but it's still showing last year's games. So unless they came to an agreement today and/or haven't updated the website yet, then probably not.
