Astros vs. Braves

Wow, that was the most incredible game I have ever seen. Scrap Iron said it in his news conference- it might have been the best game ever. I've never been so tired from watching a game on TV. Wow.

 

It is less of an irony than a coincidence.

And all on TIVO....oh man......love this team.

my brother sent me a txt message during the 10th:

"we left the game early. I want to cry."

He couldn't sneak back in? There were another 8 innings played after the 10th.

 

Funny thing...my father-in-law gave me a picture signed by Burke for me a week ago and I thought "why do I want this?"

Now, even if he doesnt live up to the hype, he will always be the player that kept me from jumping out my 10th floor apt window. After the crushing blow from 9th grade (Mets game), I could not take another extra inning playoff loss.

i kid you not, but after getting back from dallas and watching from the top of the 9th through the top of the 18th, i missed the damn game winner. i finally gave into my hunger and, after making sure clemens shut them down in the top of the 18th, ran to the store to hopefully get back by the time atlanta was batting again (like we were going to score with clemens and burke batting, lol) and as i'm listening to milo with burke up he starts screaming long drive, going back. i figure it'll get caught. then he keeps saying going back and i figure it's not getting caight, but it'll probably hit the wall. then, after a pause, he yells "it's gone" and i start going crazy in my car in the HEB parking lot. awesome

and, not that they don't deserve every bit of it after what they've done to us, how painful must this be for braves fans? up 5, then down to the last out and ausmus hits it out and then struggle through 9 more innings of slow water torture, and then watch burke of all people win the game on you. awesome.

lol, my dvr shut off when burke got to third base right at 7pm est. But it go that damn hr.

 

I watched all 6 hours at my brother's apartment. Shortly before noon (before I arrived) his bathroom was put out of commission. He didn't want to leave to go get a plunger for fear of missing some of the game, so we had to sit there for 6 hours with no bathroom. Now, let me tell you something about nail biting suspense and nerves.....

 

Mine shut off just as he was hitting the ball....oh well...

man, and it's just so damn huge to have pettitte ready to go for game 1 instead of using him for game 5.
