and activate Orlando Merced in the process.

Bout damn time. Hayes was a total waste of roster space.

In the game yesterday they had a shot of Hayes sitting way on the end of the bench away from everyone. It looked like he knew the end was near. It is about damn time though. lol

Did you see Hayes sitting outside the dugout tossing baseball cards into his upside down cap?

    That is sad.

Didn't even know he was on the team or who he is? I was looking at his stats...looked decent for last season. He only had 50 at-bats for the Astros this season hitting .200....hardly enough playing time to get comfortable at the plate.

Was he that bad? Or was he just burning the bench too much? It's too bad, really, because the Astros are on their way to becoming an excellent squad with a good chance this year if we keep going the way were going.

As long as Lima Time is gone, I'm happy [IMG]. Any word on how Lima is fairing...he probably has won his last 3 starts with a 2.00 ERA ....haha...yeah...right! Look...I see a pig flying....wooo.....

I caught the Tigers Cubs game yesterday. Same old Lima. He gave up two homers to Sosa, however the Tigers won the game.

I wish I had been watching the Astros game instead. At least the 1st inning.

Lima pitched well (for him( in his first 2 starts with the Tigers - 5 runs in 11 innings. Yesterday he gave up 6 runs in 6 innings (including 2 home runs to his buddy Sosa), but the Tigers still won (although Lima did not get the win).

Someone had to go to make room for Merced who has been hitting better than Hayes. In virtually the same amount of At Bats Merced is hitting .286 with 4 HRs and 10 RBI, thils Hayes has 0 HRs and 4 RBI.

My favorite Merced memory...tie game...top of the 9th at Texas...game winning HR.

I just wanted to yell "What's up PAYROD?" really loud. Too bad we ended up losing the boot cause we got smashed one game.

The Tigers also have Chris Holt (remember him?) in their rotation.
