Man... call it August... call it Gaetti... call it bad pitching... call it dumb luck... but every slugger on this team is HOT right now. Sooooo hot.
This is amazing! Great game! Holy Cow! Stros Win! Stros Win! Stros Win! Keep it up, fellas! 3 games back! Unbelievable!
Roy Oswalt 9-0, 2.03 lifetime vs. the Reds. Kerry Wood faces the Expos tommorrow. Mets have Glavine facing Florida's weakest starter in Valdez but I just have no faith in that NY offense. St. Louis has the advantage with Carpenter over Eaton. The disappointing Kirk Reuter goes for the Giants. We'll have to see how Colorado's stud prospect Francis rebounds from a tough outing last time out, facing the Giants tonite.
That guy is a stud... too bad he pitches for Colorado. (do they even need a pitching coach?... what's the point?) I also can't believe that they didn't let this guy pitch for Canada in the Olympics... c'mon Colorado, you think he can help pitch you back in the race??... let the guy pitch for his country. I heard he REALLY wanted to do that as well... he should have done what JD suggested and just gone ahead and pitched for them in Athens... what's the worst Colorado could have done, bench their best prospect???
Great game by the Stros. Man if Bagwell can have a decent September there is no telling what can happen as far as the wildcard race. Berkman and Beltran will do their job they just need for Baggy and Kent to stay hot. The only bad thing about the upcoming month is that we will have to play the Cards twice and that could get ugly.
True, but it does make me feel a lot better knowing we still have 20 games left with the Reds, Pirates, Brewers and Rockies
Hey... i'm all for playing the Cards in two of those final series. If this team is serious about playing playoff baseball, just who do you think you'll be playing in the post-season... the Phillies???... the Reds???... hell no. Of course there's a lot more ball to be played before you start thinking that far ahead... I stand by my original assessment that I'm just happy they're doing well out there, and if they somehow grab the WC spot, then its just gravy. (especially considering that they'll be doing it without Pettite, Miller, and with a patchwork bullpen).
it's not easy, but what are we even trying to win for if we have to worry about playing good teams. i really want to see how we stack up now that we have some confidence.
There's a segment on smokeless tobacco right now on Outside the Lines right now... had a good shot of Craig Biggio dipping and an interview with Greg Zaun (about how it "consumes" him)... Looks like a good watch... very riveting.
Does anyone know if there is a website like Clutchfans.net and houstonprofootball.com for the astros?
Notice, he said women, as in more than one. You forget that Roc Paint owns a fine gentlemen's club in the Houston area. Hey Roc, let me know if you need another person to help you fill up the limo, I'll be glad to help out
