Actually, the 'Stros have done it quite often this year (or it just seems like it). In fact, they did it twice in ONE GAME! (back in May in Chicago).

Look at that... another double steal... go scrap iron.

I like how they keep piling it on. That kind of killer instinct is good to see in a baseball team

Beltran stole another base. He has an outside shot to go 30/30 just with his Astros stats alone.

Gotta give the Astros credit. HOLY COW!!! I almost believe again. The whole team has pulled together and are doing what it takes.

We've scored 40+(43 to be exact) runs the last 4 games. Find me a team that's hotter with the bats. Let's keep this up cause I like this team a whole lot right now! :)

Backe tommorrow. Prior faces Hernandez, maybe a little hope there. Beckett faces Trachsel, but although Josh has struggled, the Mets offense is beyond pathetic. San Diego travels to St. Louis to what will be a huge series. Ultimately, I think it's the Cubs that will be the toughest to catch. I don't think the Giants have the starting pitching to stay in this thing and we can make up ground on the Padres if the Cards take care of them while we take care of the Reds. I'll admit I was one of the first to give up on the season, but I still wished they had gone all out and gotten a bullpen. They'de probably be in the lead right now if it were not for Weathers. I want Garner back next year.

I am very impressed with this team right now. The teams that I'm most worried about are the Marlins and Cubs. If we continue to take care of business and the Cards help us out against the Padres then we will easily be right there by mid Septemeber. That series in late Sept with the Giants could be huge. We just have to handle business and I really believe everything wil fall into place.

I just can't see that many teams falling apart to give the chance to sneak in, but at least they're keeping the pressure on.

Agreed. It would take a miracle to make the playoffs.

That said, it is good to keep the pressure on other teams and good to see something positive happen again. Of course, as things generally go, even if the team made the playoffs, they would likely play the Braves (though they currently have the same record as the Dodgers).

I think the thing we have to realize is that 4 teams are NOT going to fall apart for us to sneak in.

For us to make the playoffs, we will have to take it. If the astros can win 65-70% of their remaining games(yes its tough but if they can stay hot and run 12-2 over the next 14) than the Cubs, Marlins, Padres, and Giants can all play as well as they've been playing and we would still catch them. They wouldn't really have to fall apart.

Yes it's a long shot, but at this point I am ecstatic that is still a real possibility.

I agree totally, I believe this is our only chance at winning this. Unfortunately I don't think there's much of a chance, but if we do we have to do it ourselves. Sure it is going to take a little luck, but first we have to do our part.

Well it sure has gotten a lot more fun to watch, and what makes it even better to me is that I can see them all on tv now day in and day out.

They have looked fantastic, it's as though the Confrontations with the Cubbies has turned this team aroudn and given them a new jolt to their hearts.

They should continue their winning ways, but I'm not ready to believe it until I see it...

No kidding. I at least can watch them now. Not just because they are winning but because they seem to have some life.

Tonight's game could be tough. This pitcher their facing 3 hit blanked the Cardinals in his last outing. Should be a good test. I SAY WE BEAT HIS ASS! WE ARE ON FIRE! FIND A WAY! BELIEVE! Maybe...maybe no... . MAYBE!!!! YES!!!

I missed it, but the announcers were just talking about Kent's HR. Sounds like it was a bomb.
