Agreed. I think the Astros will try and resign Roy but signing Miller also will be a strain on the payroll. A can't miss position prospect would be nice to have - corner outfield spots or thirdbase. After Baggs retires, I think Berkman should move to first so we need some power corner outfielders to replace him.

I'm glad we got a win...We needed it in a big way...Carlos is worth every penny...We really need to consider keeping him with Bags and Big retiring in the near future...

I can't recall it ever happening. I've sene Astros jump to catch balls that really wouldn'at have ggon eout, but that was a legit HR robbery. He caught the ball above and behind the fence, and brought it back in.

This is the first great defensive CF I've ever seen in Houston. I know Cedeno was great, but I was born in 1980, so I've grown up with scrubs for the most part.

Steve Finley was fast, but hardly the player he became. He was an average CF when in Houston.

you think so?? i'd say he was above average. he became a much better hitter elsewhere...but i thought he was among the best defensive CF's in the game when he was younger and playing with us.

At the plate, yes. Not in the field. He was damn good with the glove.

I know this is off-topic, but I don't want to start a new thread.

What is the projected date for Pettite's return?

    Thanks
