http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/index.jsp?c_id=hou Damn, and I was looking forward to the game....UGH. guess there is more time for Pettite to recover.
that's ok, now i can watch "24" and "The Shield" back to back without having to flip between the astros game. They better be on tomorrow night though
To all of you statisticians, you may be technically correct but it still ruins a great storyline for the pitchers/game.
I had the T.V. on while posting noise, and wondering where the stros are...could be a good thing, with Roy pitching a quick game for the double-header...
The game was re-scheduled for September. No double header... and I hate rescheduled games late in the season (they somehow always hurt the Astros...)
redding finally isn't facing sheets or a good offensive team so i can finally start him for my fantasy team and it gets PPD. i've got a few billion lying around, retractable roofs for everybody!
More ESPN bullsh!t: From the Power Rankings...Take away Roger Clemens and this club is under .500. Of course, you're not allowed to take away the Rocket, which is why the Astros are within an arm's reach of first place. So they are assuming the Astros would have lost all four games the Rocket has pitched?
ESPN can fall off a cliff! Andy Pettite has yet to get going, and will add substantially when he does,...and he will! Dotel is sharper...Oswalt and Miller bring so much to the table...the future looks better, and they post that crap! I can't believe it, but coming from them, why am I not so surprised...
Why do people endlessly whine about ESPN but then continue to read it, only to whine again a week later? Amazing how people were praising ESPN when they had the Astros at #1 and the Cubs at #15.
soooo true! but probably because it's such a huge player in the sports media, that it's impossible to ignore.
Any body ever check out the CBS Sportsline player rankings? They're kinda random, but they are based on some kind of formula, so that takes some of the media bias out of it. Currently: C - Ausmus #16 1B - Bagwell #4 2B - Kent #6 SS - Everett #7 3B - Lamb #22, Ensberg #33 LF - Berkman #8 CF - Biggio #2 RF - Hidalgo #1 Starting Pitchers - Clemens #1, Oswalt #14, Miller #27 Relief Pitchers - Miceli #26, Gallo #53, Backe #59, Dotel #66, Lidge #69 http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/playerrankings/regularseason/C
