    Was at Rangers opening day...

I loved it! Saw the BoSox pound the Rangers... ha,ha.

Free tickets are good. Seeing the Rocket witness a major lack of offense on a team that is trying to lure him is even better!

This year was the first time I went to opening day, and I loved it.

Stopped off at Live Sports for beerage and food at around 4PM. It was crowded with people wearing Astros gear. I asked the waitress if the Stackmeister was there but she said he was not.

My seats were in the bullpen boxes. My friend and I walked into the stadium from the Union Station entrance, made a left, and VIOLA there was the best thing about the 2006 Astros Baseball season....

    Lefty's Pub is back.

Yep....Lefty's Pub has reopened, in the foul ball area behind the Crawford Boxes. Definitely stopped for a brewpop there before heading to our seats.

I am very happy Lefty's is back. It was one of the best things about watching the Stros at the Astrodome.

No seating area, but plenty of bar-space for the old "beer in hand elbow on the bar" lean pose, plus plenty of space for milling around.
