after miceli became the worst fielder in the history of baseball, i didn't think we'd be able to pull it out, but we did. i think we're turning it around;) .

You want to hear something sick?

Before scoring in the 10th inning last night, the Astros, along with the Expos, were the only 2 teams in the majors to have NOT scored in extra innings all year.

    UGH !

Following the game on ESPN.com...Berkman just singled with the bases loaded and 2 outs to tie the game 1-1. (I wonder why two runs didn't score with 2 outs?).

Astros only have 2 hits through 6 innings (Berkman 2 out single, and an infield single in the 5th by Viz, which was the first baserunner allowed). Interesting enough, we shouldn't have even scored 1 run- Bruntlett reached on an error and stole 2nd.

And try this on for size- Bagwell, Kent, and Biggio are ALL sitting.

Pettitte with 2 hits, 3 walks, 1 run through 5 innings. Pitch count currently at 70.

Weathers gives up a run late in a close game. I'm shocked and surprised. :(

2-1 Mets, Astros batting in the 8th. Biggio is PHing for Weathers, Bagwell and Kent still on the bench.

Hmm....I don't think so. Maybe if he had played for us all year he would be (then he'd have 20 losses), but since it hasn't been long and I know how terrible Doug Henry was, well dam, maybe he is worse. I'm going to go stare at a blank sheet of paper to try and get this off my mind.
