Good to see Jimy leaving Shane in to bat in the 7th even though he got out. Maybe he is realizing how bad the pen is and will let the starters pitch a longer. Shane has pitched well except for that opening walk in the game that came back to hurt us. As long as we avoid going to the bullpen maybe we can pull this one out.

Well, didn't happen. I'm not gonna criticize Jimy's decision to leave Shane in. Jimy just seems to be a bit snake bit so far. He goes to the pen, he loses. He sticks with the starter, he loses. By my count, we're 2-5 in one-run games. Yikes! Hopefully we can improve on this before the All-Star break.

Heck, we lost two one run games in this series alone. It just seems like we never pull it all together at once. The nights we are hitting we can't buy an out and the nights our pitchers dominate we end up getting 1 or 2 runs. I don't really know that their is an answer managerially. We just have to play better. I know that isn't really saying anything of value, but I don't know what else there is to say. We have got to start producing from every spot consistently.
