I was just wondering if anybody has found the New Era Astros 2005 League Champions Cap at any stores in Houston. I wish you could buy the cap online but it is not available anywhere! I have also called a bunch of stores and everyone is sold out as expected. Has anyone found the cap and if so, where did you buy it? Thanks and I included a picture of the cap so everyone knows which one I am talking about. I got to get that cap, it is sweet! Go Astros!
Yes, I got mine at Academy in Humble the other day. I waited in line for about 3 hours to get it. There are two slightly different ones. One just like the picture you posted and another except it doesn't have the blue and the 2005 League Champions is written in black. It also has a baseball patch on the back and on the bill with playoffs written across it. It also has playoffs world series written around the edge of the bill. I got one of each. That is the only time I've seen these two designs. Everywhere else has only had the solid black hat.
I need to pick up the fitted new era caps that the players will be wearing during the world series... the one with the world series logo on the left side.
Blatz, Thanks for the info. I went to Academy in Spring the night the Astros clinched and I found the other cap you were talking about. I don't know why they didn't have the locker room cap as well! I hope stores are able to get them in stock soon. Thanks again.
Here's a picture of the other one. They were only allowing people to get one of each style shirt they had and one hat. Luckily the lady behind me wasn't going to get a hat and she was nice a enough to get the other one for me. I got both and I'm happy. I think the Blue one is my favorite That day was cool too because I forgot to pick up a paper that morning and I couldn't find it anywhere that day. But while I was waiting in line someone had left a section of the paper behind and picked it up because I was bored. I opened it up and there was the front page.....hell yeah!
Blatz: That cap is all kinds of hawt. They weren't selling that one at MMP . I'm thinking of just buying a patch and sewing it on to my current cap.
I saw some guy at the store today wearing a shirt with the entire front page of the Chronicle on it. Does anyone know where to get that shirt. lol so you're one of the many reason I couldn't find a paper that day. It turned out alright for me though. I enjoyed finding it by accident.

I could have sworn I saw the cap online at the Astros shop and at fogdog...but now I don't see 'em..maybe they sold out or something. Maybe you should check out the The Shed, if any place has them in stock, that would have to be it...though you might want to call first.
Yeah, I bet you can just go down to the Astros store in Union Station... I believe they have usual store hours.
I waited in a huge line at Academy for 2 hrs for the new shipment of national champion pennant shirts to come in. I was at the front of the line so I knew they would still have all sizes, but when i got in they said their shipment only included adult larges and bigger

I saw it advertised in the Chronicle that they would sell them at HEB stores. Good luck, they're not selling them in B/CS - at least not yet.

I stopped by another Academy today just because I was curious if they had any but they didn't. I asked if they ever got any in and the guy said no. All they had were the plain solid black ones with the star and world series patch and the plain solid black with the world series match up.
