    It's over! It's all over!

To come this far and come up short yet again is just another nick in the series of nicks which can only be summed up as another disappointment, letdown, choke, or whatever you want to call it.

Apparently, we are still a far way away from even winning our first playoff series.

    Oh well...this sucks. :(

The only thing I have left to hope for now is that the Cubs do not go to the playoffs.

I don't care what happens to this current Astros roster next year. Rip them all apart. Start over. Do whatever. Bleh!

I will be back regardless supporting my team still yearning for that time when we actually make the playoffs and proceed past the first series. It reminds me of the former Oilers.

I can say we had moments where we had hope and looked like a great baseball team. Unfortunately, the rest of the time we looked subpar. Inconsistency spells doom.

I think it's pretty much over. We're 3 losses behind the sCrubs and I don't see them losing 3 games with their cupcake schedule.

Nice run at the end, but too little too late. When does the Rockets preseason start?

But cheer up, fellow Astro fans. It could be worse. We could be the dodgers who have been in 1st place all year and now may not even make the playoffs.

Couldn't happen to a better franchise....well, besides the sCrubs.

It's not over yet. If we win tonight we still have a chance.

I honestly think that the Giants are the hottest team in the NL right now. They could take 5 out of 6 from the Dogers (I really think they can) and win the West. The Dogers IMO is really running out of gas. By the time this all ends, they could be so far out of the playoffs picture.

The Cubs are going to NY next. The Mets have been playing well lately and they will create some problems for a road-weary Chicago team (they've been travelling a lot lately). And the Cubs still have a series against the Braves to end the season.

If we win tonight, we should be able to beat up the Brew Crew and handle the Cards at home as they already have clinched and will not push their starting pitchers.

It's not over till it's over.

    This team has no guts.

I am almost glad they are not going to make the playoffs, because the lack of offense you saw in the first 2 game is how they fare in the playoffs, and that is simply aggravating.

They have no heart, and Viz seems to have left his glove behind too.

Dang, we beat up on scrubs to get in the race...but can't compete with teams of equal talent.

Also...what happened to Roy's curve ball? He used to change speed a lot more than he does now....

    LaLa,

But your same theory applies to the braves, they have already clinched and have no reason to push their starters either. Truth be told the astros really needed to take two of three from the giants and they haven't won any. So we have put ourselves in a big hole. I am not saying that it can't be done just that we have made it really difficult. I'm not just being a pessimist, I'm trying to read between the lines.

So what if the sCrubs make the playoffs? They'll find one way or another to choke.

I'll be rooting for the Giants once the Astros are out of it.

The only thing worse then the Cubs is Cubs fans.

    Victory is mine!

How many World Series Championships have the Astros won?

They lost me when they traded the big bopper.

when they traded washed up glenn davis for pete harnisch and curt schilling?? that's when they lost you!!!??? :D

ummm...i don't think cubs fans should be talking about world championships. if you were looking for a winning franchise, you looked under the wrong stone!!! in our lifetime anyway...or our parents' lifetime, for that matter! :)
