Gagne is up and pitching. TOp of the 8th. Great....wish Berkman would have hit one like he did back in houston.
oooooo.....McGriff with another Bomb. That's two tonight. 41 against the Astros for him. 4-1 LA They don't look like they are DEAD last in the League for HR's.
I don't know how much we are paying these guys, but to only be hitting .258 as a team is FRICKEN ridiculous. If they don't make it this year, it is time to perge. DD
And with that Flash's uber record of consecutive saves is surpassed by the longstanding Wakefield, and newly inducted member into the League of Appreciation, Eric Gagne.
Great, but one fricken run...pathetic. This is a team of underachievers as far as hitting goes......pitching with injuries has been at least bearable...but hitting....man...I am still waiting on that vaunted lineup of clutch hitters...it has never materialized. DD
I dont get it. What is up the the inconsistant runs scored? Here is a look all the way back to the 19th of AUgust. W--12 L-- 0 W--9 L--3 L--1 W--6 W--18 W--6 L--3 L--1 W--11 L--1 W--10 L--1 Look like gods on night...then disapear the next.
That's what I was saying last night. It's either 1 run and we loose or we kill teams. I've never seen anything like it.
Ugh... I knew once we got to their bullpen we were sunk. The only thing I'm really upset about is in the 5th when Lamont didn't send Biggio home on Kent's double with two outs. Biggio was at the bag when Burnitz picked up the ball in the deep left field corner. I think at that point in the game Lamont should have taken the chance. We've seen some funny things happen in this series on plays at the plate with balls getting knocked loose. (Notice the correct usage of the word 'loose'. The opposite of win is 'lose'. This comment is for the general edification of the board.)
They did great on Monday, but no run support on Tuesday... Now we're 1/2 a game back of the freakin' Cards...ugh!!!
they (Astro players, owner) dont give a crap, so why should I? This performance the 2nd half of the season is nothing short than pathetic. I am and will always be an Astros fan, but its time to call a spade a spade. This team doesn't have the heart, talent, or desire to be anything other than a .500 team. And that is exactly what they are, a .500 team
4 spot on Kevin Brown in the first inning. Niiice. Sign #1 of the Apocalypse: Astros score early on a quality veteran pitcher.
Well, since we got only 1 last night, we were due for a big game tonight. The Pads must be excited, looks like they'll catch us for a pair of 1 run games while we beat the crap out of them in the middle game of the series.
WHOOOHOO Robertson is having a hell of a game so far. What play...and now he out runs the throw from the catcher and is on base....biggio just hit by a pitch. 4-0 goodguys. Astros are showing some consistency with their inconsistency. So far a great game scoring runs...
