The rest of the team may be goats as well but if your the pitcher and you give up a homerun in extra innings...then I consider you a goat. Your job is to not allow any runs in an extra inning tie game in the bottom half of the inning and he failed.

Who cares...we still lost. Pick your own goat then.

    This team is depressing.

Whatever happened to the days when we won comfortably, 10-4?

Every game is a struggle nowadays.

To score 10 runs ususally involves either clutch hits, or HR's, or both... and right now, this team can't do that with just one player.

Even though he did his damn best to try to emulate that this weekend.

Quick trivia: when was the last time this team scored more than 10 runs in a game?

Actually, with our pitching, we would be in better shape than the Rangers.

Correct... and the last time they score in double-figures period, was May 19th against the Marlins... and you guys can point to that game as the official "Last time this team looked like a contender."

After that, they lost the third game of that series, and the Marlins avoided a sweep (it was to Beckett, so everybody thought, "no big deal... 2 outta 3 aint bad.").

Then came the 4 game sweep against Cincinatti, which nobody could have ever imagined... and its been downhill ever since.

But... seeing as how fast that turned our season sour, it only takes 3-4 wins in a row to get it back the other way as well.

As schizo as this team is, they might allofasudden start hitting like crazy. While I'm dreaming, I'd like a fast car and a date with Maria Sharapova.

Another interesting fact... this team scored in double-figures 6 times during the first month of the season... its obvious that scouting reports made adjustments against us.

Beltra is on pace for POW honors his first week in the NL. Amazing.

Here is a stat for ya:

Astros have scored 21 runs in the 6 games since the trade.

Beltra was involved in 10 of those runs.

Its conceivable we would have been 0-6 on this trip w/o him.

Except that we couldn't afford to resign Oswalt or Miller. Hernandez would probably be our second starter, which at this point I wouldn't be too comfortable with.

No one will ever get A-Rod money again.
