Don't knock Mr. Towles and his .056 batting average please, he's the future of the franchise

I hope Myers pitches well so we can trade him for something of value come June/July.

What Towles is to weakly hit ground balls and Adam Everett to pop ups, Dave Duncan is to pitching brilliance...

Time for the Cardinals to score a few runs in the 8th to end all hope.

Looks like signing Myers turned out to be a decent move. I get the feeling Roy, Wandy and Myers will keep us in a lot of games only to see us not score any runs.

If we get good pitching, our hitting will let us down.

    Matsui .118
    Pence .103
    Lee .097
    Towles .056

We only have 3 regulars whose batting average is higher than their weight.

    :(

PS - These new smilies suck. The  doesn't have the same effect it used to.

    Dam that was easy....

I read a stat somewhere that said teams that have started 1-8 or 0-9 avg about 95 losses.

Knowing that there are still 154 more games to play must be as depressing for the players as the fans.

There is so little optimism in that clubhouse this early in a loooooooooooooooong looooooooooooooooong baseball season.
