As long as the pen holds the four run lead, Tim gets his first win of the season. For the most part what's been killing him is he loses focus, giving up one big inning. I realize that at that point he was pitching well, but in my mind you take him out to get him his first win and keep him from getting himself into a jam.

I thought that was pretty ballsy to leave him in a 2 out bases loaded situation that late in the game. Redding gotta be feelin' good now.

That was the other thing. A hit there pretty much puts that game out of reach.

Well, here's to a win tonight. I hope Oswalt has his command back tonight. He was pretty iffy in his last start where he obtained a no-decision.

He said in the paper that he found a flaw in his mechanics during a bullpen session after his last game. Basically he was lifting his left arm too high during his delivery, causing him to lose sight of his target. We'll see if he fixed it.

I didn't think Biggio had it in him at this point in his career, but if he can keep close to this place, with the all-star game in houston, he should be there. If he makes the all-star game as a center fielder and can keep hitting like he has, I don't see how he wouldn't make the hall of fame. As impressive as the Rocket has been this year, you could argue Biggio has been the most impressive Astro this season.

Anyway, it's a good time to be an astros fan right now.

Thank god for that huge ballpark in Atlanta... that first pitch fastball hit by Andruw Jones would have been GONE in most parks... especially ours.

Hey... Jason Lane with a webgem.

Roy needs to settle down back in that grooove... the last three batters spanked the ball.

    I missed the 1st inning.

So did they stop the game or acknowledge his 2500th hit??

Did the crowd give him a nice round???

No stoppage, but a smal smattering of applause. Nothing big. The Astros got the ball.

The Astro's announcers just said that in the first the Braves stadium didn't acknowledge Biggio's 2500 hit, they didn't put it on the score board or anything like that.

WOW! How sweet it that?! Biggio is such a dominant force today that they do not want the starter to pitch to him. They just changed pitchers to keep him from facing Biggio.
