AS we seen in the past few games, artest hasnt showed up offeensivly. He is always playin killer D...but now as YAO goes down, that is the person that going to have to make his shots and use this power and size to his advantage. :D Hopefully he drives the ball, and attacks. That is our best weapon by far! ne thoguhts?

Well that's a tightrope walk if there ever was one.

Ron has to step up, but Ron can't know that he has to step up. If Ron knows he has to step up he will force bad shots and in fact step down. However if he just plays the game normal without thought to stepping up he may indeed raise his level of play and step up so to speak.

    Basketball, serious business.

    WTF are you talking about?

    Stats:

    Game 1 - 8-15 21pts, 7 assists (more than the team's PG)
    Game 2 - 8-14 25pts, 5 assists (more than the team's PG)
    Game 3 - 10-23 25pts, 1 assists (bad)
Game 4 - 4-19 8pts, 6 assists ( bad in points but still leading team in assists)

Game 4 is the only game he was shooting badly and correct me if I am wrong but I believe "in the past few games" is plural.

ron ron was due for a bad game. you knew he was shooting out of his mind the past 3-4 games before game 4.

i think he'll shoot better in staples center where all the lights will be on him, but its important he not jack up horrible shots when hes off.

A couple more assists and Ron was flirting with a triple double in game 4.. He had like 12 rebounds as well I think.

What Ron really needs to do is just play within the offense 90% of the time. If the play breaks down, then he can do what he needs to in order to get his shot.

The problems is when Artest starts believing that he needs to be the man, then it becomes a 1 vs. 5 game on offense.

Ron'd better only use his tank body and wide-opened shots in offensive end .
those garish steps don't work with him .

Now that yao is out, Somebody has to take up most of that 18 ppg lost with Yao out. Ron must try to take the lead without overdoing it. He must try to post and drive more rather then throwing those awkward looking jump shots.

I've been thinking about this myself. It's kind of like feast or famine with Artest. If he is not looking good early on, I think he should share more of his time with Brent Barry. Barry might not be as strong or tough, but I think he'll make more of those crazy shots that Artest keeps putting up.
