This can be about supporters of either candidate, but I'll start with McCain, and let someone else pose the question to Obama supporters.

Are you embarrassed to have a VP candidate who, after several months as the VP choice doesn't know the constitutional roll of a VP?

Are you embarrassed that the party invented the myth that she's a hockey-mom with an everyday touch, that appeals to the regular joe sixpack, yet she spends 150K on clothes, and nobody in the GOP will step up and take responsibility for who made the decision?

Are you embarrassed that she incites crowds with phrases about Obama like 'he pals around with terrorists?'

Again feel free to ask any Obama/Biden questions once you've answered and explained these questions.

I'm not trying to be mean with the questions but I have a friend who supports McCain, and I feel kind of bad for her everytime Palin does something so ignorant and shameful, that I wonder if she is embarrassed about it.

I am voting for Obama and I am embarrassed they are killing Palin for giving a pretty good non-legal description of VP, accepting clothes to wear that she was probably told everyone does (500 dollar haircut anyone), and I would like to punch Bill Ayers in the face.

ok to be fair to the republicans (although i will most likely vote obama)...

im still a bit nervous about obama's lack of experience. he has shown wisdom and level-headed-ness so far. i know he will surround himself w/ experienced bi-partisan advisors. but if he becomes president, final decisions will be his to make.

Is it true that Palin didn't know what a precondition is?

Maybe she is confused. Running for VP isn't like running for student council or homecoming court. I'm embarassed for her.

That's funny because it was Biden who was confused about that and got burned for it. Are you embarrassed?

    Biden gets veep role wrong

    Stephen Dinan (Contact)
    Friday, October 3, 2008

Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. appeared to incorrectly outline the constitutional role of the job he's seeking in Thursday's debate.

In attacking Vice President Dick Cheney, Mr. Biden said the vice president's only role is to support the president and to preside over the Senate "only in a time when in fact there's a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit."

The Constitution, though, actually says the vice president is always president of the Senate and legal scholars say he has the right to preside at any time. Early vice presidents, such as Thomas Jefferson, actively exercised that role, the vice president still keeps offices at the Capitol, and scholars say it wasn't until the middle of the 20th century that the vice president had an office at the executive office building.

The president pro tempore, usually the senior senator from the majority party, takes over only when the vice president is absent. In recent practice, as the vice president has taken a bigger role in the executive, that's meant the Senate operates almost all of the time without the vice president in the chair.

The Obama campaign didn't return a message for comment left late Thursday, after the debate.

For her part Republican vice presidential nominee Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to take the vice president's role of president of the Senate seriously.

"I'm thankful the Constitution would allow a bit more authority given to the vice president if that vice president so chose to exert it in working with the Senate and making sure that we are supportive of the president's policies and making sure too that our president understands what our strengths are," she said.

Mr. Biden, who's been in the Senate for three decades, also mistakenly stated that the executive branch is defined in Article I of the Constitution. In fact, Article I describes the legislature, while Article II lays out the executive.

If Jerry Sloan misinterprets an NBA rule, he's going to get a pass because he's proven his knowledge and abilities through 20+ years of coaching. If Mike Woodson does the same, he's not.

Both the Earmark queen and the double talke express from AZ doesn't understand what "pals around" means.

Obama and Ayeres served on board of local community org.

"pals around" means a close personal relationship, like taking vacation together, such as the McCain family and the Keating family (that crooks that bankrupted Lincoln S&L leading to a Govt bailout) did more than once.

I think the recent quote from Palin about what a VP does is a bit overplayed. The Senate comment was definitely a big error but I think she was trying to make the VP's role as more important than just being there to take over should the President croak or lose his position.

As for the clothes thing, I think that is blown out of context. No politician is going to wear Walmart clothes while campaigning for their Presidential candidate. I do think the hockey mom thing is tired as well. It's definitely exaggerated, from the voice, to the folksy story telling, and naivety and dumbed down answers. I think she's just a walking talking point and nothing more sadly. Which is ashame because for all her mishaps, and definitely slip ups about her own political views, it would be better for her to speak on her own behalf instead of what her campaign managers are asking her to. It's all about image in the two recent incidents involving Palin.

I am embarrassed for the GOP for their smear campaigns, for McCain's obvious gimmicky choice for VP, and the fact that GOP supporters were actually treated as intelligent people at one point in time. If I were a GOP supporter, I would think it was a slap in the face with the way McCain's campaign is treating their supporters like they're a bunch of idiots. They're appealing to the ignorant's misguided views instead of educating them about why the GOP is a better party than Democrats.

Looks like dandorotik thinks of the Rockets as so imperfect that he has been palling around with a Utah Jazz coach. We need to know the full extent of that relationship, and ask ourselves, who is the REAL dandorotik?

As I said, I would be happy to answer Obama/Biden questions after you answered the other ones.

You've decided not to answer them but moved ahead and asked other questions anyway.

I will however say that Biden was correct in the job of the VP. Palin was wrong. The VP is titled the president of the Senate, but is definitely not in charge of it, and does not make policy decisions for it. The only thing she can do legislatively is break ties. So the title doesn't mean anything, and Palin has made it clear that she doesn't know what the VP's role is.

I've been more embarrassed by the past 30 yrs of experienced politicians from both sides than Ms. Palin.

I am embarrassed by the stupidity of the current credit crisis- Greenspan said he's surprised. Most everyone spins it this way and that as the market bouces and dips. Politicians act like they know what they are doing, vote like they want to get re-elected and then afterwards blame someone else for everything.

I'm embarrassed that one US president acted like a pervert and another attacked another nation and overthrew the government. Those two things alone define what we are all about, a noble and decent nation.

When I was living overseas I was told the best thing America exports is p*rn and budweiser. That about says it all- embarrassed.

I guess one thing I like about Palin is she has very limited political experience.

I wish JVG was running on one of the tickets, at least we would have a good defense and the press conferences would be hilarious.

As I said before, I would be happy to answer any questions about embarrassment and Joe Biden after the questions asked in the OP were answered.

Well thanks to Dick Cheney I dont think anybody know the responsibility of the Vice President. Cheney has had more power than any Vice President in history.

The vice president only has 2 responsibilities

1 Break a tie in the senate
2 Step in as president if the president cant preform his or her job for whatever reason
