Am I reading this box score right? Bryce Drew has played 27 minutes as of the end of the 3rd quarter, despite the fact that three other guards (Francis, Moochie, Anderson) have played 62 minutes?

Are we dangling Drew in front of the Jazz with an eye toward the offseason? Might the Utahrds be looking for a young, well-mannered white boy who can run the pick-and-roll, pass, shoot 3's, and toss floaters in the lane?

No I was looking at the boxscores also and I see Walt, Mobley, and Pig all have zero minutes played. I wonder why. The trading dealine is over. Did they piss Rudy off.

Will, around here we just spell it utard (w/o the h)

I think Drew's minutes have something to do w/ Mobley's hipper and the fouls that Francis keeps getting by breathing on Stockton. Does John keep falling down from the altitude (i think the Delta Center is 4500' above sea level...) maybe he gets vertigo?

I'm not watching the game, but I also noticed that Francis has 5 fouls, so foul problems and the fact Mobley isn't there may have a lot to do with Drew getting the PT.

Good grief, Achebe, stop posting things the same time I post 'em. Pretty soon, you'll have me doing something bizarre like cheering for Mobley or something.

I've been on this BBS awhile, and the term "Utahrd" will forever be in my vocabulary.

Just like Jazzholes and Bandwagon Hop Like Nutty!!!

As for the officiating, don't get me started. Notice how their final run started after Ostertag climbed Cato's back for a rebound, and then on the other end, Cato was slaughtered while attempting a dunk. Meanwhile, you look funny at Stockton, it's a foul.

Crazily enough, but until Drew went out of the game at the beginning of the 4th quarter we were only down 5. Then, Utah put in their scrubs and we lose by nearly 20. What is wrong with this picture?

Can I repeat my Stockton joke?

Stockton walks into a bar. Ref ignores the walk, calls a blocking foul on the bar.

Man I remember how much I busted up when I first read that joke... classic.

As for Utah, may not be as surprising as you think (both Jacque Vaughn and Howard Eisley are free agents this offseason), but I would doubt it. I think Drew just played tonight because Mobley was out ... but if Drew is on the Rockets next season I would be willing to bet big bucks it's not because they weren't shopping him hard.

It is about time that we wake up and admit that Bryce Drew is a great N.B.A. player. This guy can flat out play the game. It is nice to watch Bryce play and not talk trash or get a technical. This is the way the game should be played. All out, no trash. Just imagine how valuable Bryce would be if the Rockets had an inside game. He is the best three point shooter we have, no questions asked. Bryce is the man!

So who saw the Rudy technical foul after Drew and Moochie chased down Malone on a fastbreak and Drew clearly blocked his crap as he was preparing to flop cause Moochie ran in front of him.

    what a joke call.

That was terrible. Drew got a scared look on his face like he just became the victim of rape. Karl is a bad, bad man.

If we are showcasing Drew, then it's not working well. He's been shooting terrible.

The only thing we could be showcasing Drew for is how he does not fit in a run-and-gun offense. He constantly has a 'deer in the highlights look'. So if you are trying to build a dump it in team offense please come take Drew off of our hands at seasons end.

Given up on the Rockets? No way! They're on their way to the lottery and I'm excited! We suck and for all the right reasons. I've just been busy with work and finances. Should be there for the next game to cheer the Rockets to another loss. [IMG]

By "best three point shooter we have", you must mean not on the injured list, because the Bull is the best 3-point shooter.
