Sports fans are ridiculous. Wide open? Really...I mean, you didn't see one of the leagues best shot blockers right in front of him altering the shot (Turiaf). Yeah, Bosh should have had it...but don't pretend you'd make that with Turiaf in front of you.
STEPHEN CURRY: 29 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks, game winning free throws after getting decked, and missing 2 FT's a minute earlier. yeah i think this guy is pretty good...he just beat a desperate Toronto team that absolutely needed the win for the 8th spot (now only a game up on Chicago). System player my ass, he is the ROY IMO (no Monta ellis, randolph, biedrins, wright, azubuike, etc... and he continues to lead a team of D leaguers to victories and incredibly close losses to playoff teams).
Let's face it though, he was going at Jose Calderon today for most of the game and the Raptors even tried a 2-3 zone for some reason against them.
actually he had 13 of his 29 in the 4th when Jarrett Jack was the PG for the entire quarter and Calderon was on the bench. Jack ain't no pushover and he got abused by Curry repeatedly who to be honest should have had more points in that quarter, he missed a few shots he normally drills.
I love it when the Raptors lose. The more they lose, the more frustrated Bosh gets, the more likely he ends up in our hands. No homo at all.
Durant with 40 points and 9 boards...dam he is good. He also set the franchise record for most points in a season. Don't look now but the Thunder are 1 1/2 games out of the 2nd Seed with a number of big games to close the year!!!
Actually I think Lebron did the right thing. Their coach was already ejected and it's an away game. They were on the run and had the momentum. I don't think they stand any chance in OT had the Celtics had time to cool down Lebron. He went for the win and just didn't make it. It happens.
Do you think he could do that on an actually playoff type team? Not being sarcastic either I just don't know if his number are highly inflated since he is on the Warriors, or that he really is that good. I wonder if he could put up decent numbers on a good team.
I thought about this for a bit and yes you could make an argument that he is a system player, but when you turn a bunch of d-leaguers into scoring machines, then I'd say you'd have to be pretty dam good.
Curry didn't turn them into scoring machines. It's the system. Morrow came out of nowhere to light it up last year - before Curry was around. So did other undrafted Warriors like Azubuike and Watson (each having multiple 30 point games). You're trying to argue against him being a system player...but your arguments all point to the success being caused by the system. I think Curry is a great talent - but let's see him lead a team to a winning record before anointing him...
Nah, you always play the percentages. He's a below average three point shooter, and it's worse when you're off balance and not really open. If he was wide open with his feet set I'd agree with you, but he had a lane to drive in, maybe could have even got 2+1 out of it.
the spurs look good, in the last games they have beat: lakers, cavs, magic and boston. they only had a fluke against the nets. and manu is playing incredible, I really want ginobili with the rockets next year!! manu playing awesome against the best teams, and when he didnt play the spurs lost to the nets.
Curry was insane today. The Raptors got 60 points from Bosh and Bargnani, while the Warriors got 56 points from Morrow and Curry, who lit up anybody who was on them. Calderon did have a rough start, but Jack was equally as bad on defense. The difference is that Jack was able to get in a groove offensively in the 4th and scored 16 (of 19 total) to at least match what Curry was doing. Bosh had to defend Maggette most of the game which resulted in Mags scoring 31 on the mismatch, but the real difference was the 3pt shooting by GSW vs many open shots being missed by Toronto. GSW had 39 points off 3pters (13-26) to Toronto's 9, while Calderon, Bargnani, Weems and Wright shot a combined 11-45 - most of them being open looks they'd usually have much better success with. Top that off with some questionable coaching and there's the reason for your Raptor loss. Bosh played well and shouldn't have needed to make a last second layup to win this one... it was lost 10 minutes earlier.

Leagues best shot blockers??? 1.4 BPG... Way to exaggerate... Bosh is a SUPERSTAR, a superstar doesn't miss game winning POINT BLANK layups... no matter who is there.. if anything he could've dunked it. Yes there wasn't much time but he blew it.. and there's no excuse for it. You can just tell by his reaction after he missed it. Superstars don't get the benefit of the excuses.
Turiaf averaged over 2 last season good enough for 4th best, and is still at 1.4 now despite being out for half the season. Bosh probably could have dunked it, but he didn't jump high enough from where he was at and banking that layin looked like that was his only shot option as far as already being in the air. But Turiaf had a swipe at the pass forcing Bosh at least one dribble, and also had a pretty good contest judging from the camera angle, which isn't that good.
