I'm a huge NBA fan, but I must admit that the early games tonight don't interest me at all. OKC/Portland and Rockets/Kings starting in 2 hours is all I care about. Both tomorrow and (esp) Wednesday have a compelling slate of games.
I don't think the rockets want Calderon right now. But, if he is packed with Bosh, the rockets might do the trade.
It seems the spurs have a problem to play against lottery teams. If they lose to the wolves, they would be the 8th seed to play the lakers in the 1st round.
with a loss tonight the thunder will play lakers in 1st round as they do not own the tiebreaks against either portland or spurs
Thunder choked again in the 2nd half. I think they might be swept by the lakers. Durant needs to reduce his TOs. I don't think he is a top 5 player yet. BTW, I think Durant is a 'kobe' type of player. He is a great scorer. He isn't an all around player like James.
oaky portland is in 6th place and if they win their next game against goldenstate they clinch 6th seed; san antonia is in 7th and must beat dallas on wednesday; thunder get la lakers in 1st round;
I expected the Thunder to eventually collapse before the playoffs and they have now. I think playing 6 games in 8 days this late in the season (especially factoring in the Utah game) was just too much for them. Now they can rest all their key players on Wednesday since there is nothing to play for and gear up for the Lakers next Sunday. I never expected them to do well in the playoffs because of their youth. My hope is they win at least 2 games from the Lakers. Congrats to the Blazers but they have little chance of advancing without Roy playing at a high level. If he doesn't they will effectively be a bye for whoever gets them in the 1st round. Too bad for the poor team that gets the Spurs, especially if it's the Nuggets or Suns.
