Apple IMAC Desktop Question

    Hey guys I have a question regarding the desktop MAC's. I recently bought one and am not sure if I should let it sleep after being inactive for 15 minutes or let it stay on for an hour or so before going to sleep.

    I know this may be a dumb question but I am reading conflicting arguments online and want to know if anyone here has an opinion.

    What is the argument for each side? I see no reason to stretch inactive time to 1 hour without good reason.

    If I am using it on and off through out the day and letting it sleep and turning it back on every so often will that have negative effects or should I just continue to let it sleep after 15 minutes.

    My PC goes to sleep after idling for 1 hour. I manually put it to sleep whenever I leave the house for an hour or more. My PC also sleeps when I sleep and when I'm at work. Only time I shut down or restart is if I need to because of updates and/or cleaning the case.

    I have my IMAC set up so that the display and the computer sleep after one hour. Fifteen minutes is too short for me.

    I have the display go to sleep after 15 minutes and the computer after an hour.
