How many shots the Rockets are putting up per-game? They are like only taking 60 shots a game. You see the Lakers take around 80 which is 20 more shots, at 40% that is 8 more shots in! 16 points in other terms. I have seen this and have been abit worried. This would definitely concern me if: a. The Rockets were leading the league in turnovers. b. The weren't shooting as many free throws. The fact that they are taking 30 free throws per game, by itself, makes up most of the difference. ------------------ Time for a new cause.
good point Jeff. We are doing great at free throws this year. 78% is nice!! Better yet, the top 4 scorers are over 80%, Steve, Cat, Mo and Walt, meaning our 4th Q FTs should really be good. Miggidy, I usually track our 3pt FGA. I like to see those go down. So far, they have. My main concern right now is winning on the road.
HeyPartner About the 3 ptrs . . . . I must disagree I think we pass up too many of them WIDE Open . .esp Francis. I would like the 2 seconds on the Clock 3s go away but . .. MMarkell, No disrespect intended but I did the arithmetic and the Rockets have attempted 27 TOTAL shots fewer than their opponents for the 1st 10 games. The Bulls had us 88-71 & Hornets 82-74. We lost to the Clips and the Blazers even though we had more attempts (84-68 & 78-71). Perhaps it just seems like we shoot alot less b/c we take so many near the 24 second horn! ------------------ GATER
