I play guitar and sing and would to love to jam with any willing musicians. I mainly play for fun these days but I guess if I found some musicians who I clicked with I might want to join a band. But if you like to play music e-mail me at: thegroupers@hotmail.com I mainly like Alt rock and the Blues. Not too into metal.

Since the topic came up, I'm still looking for a guitarist to round out my project. Singer/songwriter -esque type electric player. Won't need much distortion but textural ability is a huge plus. Influences (I hate this part) in the slightly more electric singer/songwriter vein somewhere between Jeff Buckley/John Mayer/Duncan Sheik and Sting/Peter Gabriel. Really want someone with experience. Don't care if you play in other bands. We all do too. Very limited time component (one rehersal per week - two on a need basis - and a couple gigs per month). We are heading into the studio in April (with or without a permanent guitarist) to do our first recording. Our focus is on that and just having fun. Thanks. jeff@clutchcity.net
i like your style, dude. I was blowing harp with a band up here in NY until our drummer moved back to HOuston. I have been sitting in and doing open-mic gigs since he left. it felt good for a while to be gigging in the VIllage. writing music and performing with a band is what music is all about. I would love to jam, just bring the band up to New YOrk!!
I doubt I would be what you are looking for Jeff but I would like to see you play sometime. You should drop a thread before each gig so people will remember. If I am not singing, I am not happy. I used to be a drummer and I got bored not singing so I had to switch to guitar. That was about eight years ago and now I can't get off the mic. I love to harmonize though if you need high tenor/low alto.
We're going to be playing a couple times in February and March. I'll keep everyone posted and thanks for asking.
I have currently just taken up guitar lessons, i got a yamaha acoustic to learn off and by may i hope to get a 7 string ibanez.
Here are a couple of good sites to learn some easy songs www.mxtabs.net www.olga.net I played when I was a teen and just started up again.....lost it BigTime......Got my son started at 8 years old and now the boy can already play some songs out the book......I should have stuck with it....
I just bought the Triton and am a pretty good blues musician, set up a location and let's all get together.
I play bass and guitar. I like all kinds of music and would consider myself better than average on bass (10 years) and average on guitar (4 years). I emailed you Grouper...... Can you imagine a huge Clutchcity.net jam??? See my sig for a band name idea......
My band Secret Agent 8 is looking for a new bassist. We're losing ours after Mardi Gras on February 22. If anybody in interested in trying out, email phil@ktone.org
I play the keyboard in my band, but if there's ever a clutchcity jam, I want to be there for it. Let me know.
I used a triton once to make a soundtrack song. What a fun piece of equipment. You will have a hard time getting to sleep. And if you want to jam with me, anybody, please e-mail me at thegroupers@hotmail.com. I am not some egotistical music bastaarddd. I just like to jam and have fun. I volunteer my house for jamming. But it is up on Lake Conroe. But Drew already e-mailed me and if we can get some others I will get some beers and we can have a good time. The bassist is always the hardest to get. But seriously, I just like to play to have a good time and if anyone likes playing 12-bar and messin around I am most always down. Thanks for the responses and if you don't jam today, jam tomorrow.
