I have a short trip next week and was hoping to find a place to stay near Microsoft headquarters as cheaply as possible. Any Seattle Rox fans want to put me up for a night?
I don't know if any Seattle Rockets fan would be crazy enough to host you if they don't know you...not saying you're a psycho but this is an internet forum after all...
They may not be. However, I would be willing to settle for a spot in the front yard to set up a sleeping bag. I wouldn't mind a carport if it is raining.
Unfortunately, the hotels in the area I need to be in are either booked solid or EXPENSIVE. I can make do without it since I only need a place to sleep Monday night after I land, but it would be cool to meet a remote Rox fan.
It is kinda half business half personal. They are reimbursing for the airfare and a place to stay Tuesday night, but I need to find a place to stay for Monday.
Hey Andy, If you can email me. I have a friend up there who would probably put you up for a night. Later, Brock
You know though, I was planning on a road trip from Houston through the midwest up to New York and back down the east coast through the south - a big circle. My plans changed when a good friend moved to San Francisco and invited me out, so I did the left coast instead of the right. However, I mentioned it on here and I had a couch to sleep on, a spare bedroom and even AN ENTIRE APARTMENT IN NYC FOR THE WEEKEND courtesy of ClutchFans folk. I was only short on like two stops and one of them was where a relative lives. I put up Manny Ramirez for a couple days when he was in Houston without ever meeting him and it worked out great. Obviously, you want to have some knowledge of the person - a track record on the BBS - but I thought it was pretty cool.
While in Seattle, check out the oysters. They have several very salty varieties that are scrumptious. Our gulf oysters taste like mud in comparison. A buddy of mine up there is an oyster connoisseur.
