I may buy this is bike as a starter bike: http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/1825515076.html What do you all think?
Most people who ride motorcycles die of brain injuries....post a link to a craigslist ad for a helmet..and I will say yeah...go4it.

Well as long as you don't think you're a ninja and start criss crossing like an idiot. I think you'd be fine. Btw the ad says it's very loud. Those are very annoying when they go through neighborhoods. How much is it going for? Beware of the cheap ones. I borrowed one a these from my cousin. So far I'm fine. Spoiler Try to catch me ridin' durty
That's a great starter bike. My buddy had the smaller brother (early 90s VS 400 IIRC) and he loved it. Had some clutch slippage, battery problems, and cracking on the seat from UV rays, but overall no issues as his first one. I say go for it. My first bike was pretty beat up and not a cruiser like yours, yet it got the job done for around the same price. Good luck!
False. This is a careless assumption based on absolutely nothing. Why did you even post this? You should stick to posting about Earl's sausage.
Never buy a used bike as a first bike. Go with the new Kawasaki Ninja 250cc as a good starter, pretty cheap new too (4-5k).
That is a terrible deal. Over 25 years old will be nothing but problems. these are a very nice bike http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/1823939314.html http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/1821059220.html I hate cruisers but if I got a small cc cruiser it would be a VLX 600.
As for the bike, it looks like it's in good shape. You should get it. Ride it for a while, then go get what you want after you get some riding experience.
