Any coincidence that Shandon Anderson barely plays in the 4th quarter and the Grizzlies end up scoring 34 points? We had Mooch at the point, and Francis and Mobley in the game as well. Hell, Bullard even got some quality (if you want to call them that) minutes. I like all three players, but we suffer defensively with that line up. All are average or slightly above average defenders, but Anderson is a very good defender. Why take out your top defensive player in the 4th quarter with a 15+ point lead? I don't know... Poor coaching, or tanking? YOU make the call! Plus, I don't like to see Moochie and Francis in the game at the same time for more than just a couple of minutes per game. I want Francis to be the PG, just like Stockton and Payton are their team's point guard. No ifs, ands, or buts. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
yeah rudy great job man.. i really commend you on trying to win. What the hell are you thinking. ------------------
DREAMer- did you see the lineup in the beginning of the 4th? Moochie Drew Francis Mobes Bullard I...I'm stunned. I have never seen anything like it. I would call it smallball, but that word just doesn't work. It was this very lineup that allowed the Grizz to come roaring back in the beginning of the quarter. Layup after layup with incredible size mismatches. Even after a timeout to stop the bleeding, Rudy STILL doesn't put either Cato or Anderson in; just subs Thomas in for Drew. Cato didn't come in until later, and Anderson didn't hit the floor for the entire 4th until the last minute. ------------------
Gotta be a sherman-tank-job When I tuned in with about 5 minutes in the third, thry were up 18 points During the entire time that Vancouver was making its run...Rudy never put in anyone to try to stop it.When Vancouver was 5 down around the beginning of the 4th,he finally put KT back in...Rudy is a better coach than that...he had to been tanking I guess the Rocks had been winning to much lately. ------------------ Go Rockets Go Need more LottoBalls!!
In Rudy's words, "...trying different lineups..." ------------------ Check out the best source for draft info. Draftsource.net
I think he is teaching these guys a lesson. He saw what was going on, and the Rockets were losing because of a lack of effort. He wants them to learn to play all 48 minutes with whomever is on the floor. Play as a team..etc..etc.. They did not, too much ISO, not enough working the ball to the open man, and the defensive effort was PATHETIC. I don't mind the loss as long as the team grows. DaDakota ------------------
as i posted in another thread...was that bill fitch coaching against the grizzlies? bibby just ate moochie up and mobley was not having much luck with dickerson.....you could almost see bibby's eyes grow wide when he realized cato wasn't in the game in the last 6 seconds... ------------------
Yeah so I guess when the Rockets comes back to Houston, I'll make sure to sit behind the Rockets bench, I'll yell at Rudy, "I want to learn how to play 48 min, I'll show effort!" Maybe he will put me in for Anderson! Check this line up! RAWW MOOCHIE DREW STEVE BULLARD A sure win, or should I say, a sure ping pong ball! Rudy needs to STOP the BS! RAWW ------------------
Rudy teaching these guys a lesson?! Ha, You're joking right Dakota... c'mon please tell me that you're joking. Correct me if I'm wrong, but usually when a coach is supposed to be teaching someone a lesson he usually benches the individual for a period of time, supposedly to let them think about their mistakes. So you're saying that Cato and Thomas were the problem. What defensive lesson was the team suppose to learn from that lineup. "How to allow a layup and not foul"... they didn't get that right either. And again you complain about the iso, but who called the play, RUDY the players aren't out there calling their own plays. And the players must be running the play according to how Rudy designed it to work because he keeps running it. C'mon Dakota, tell me that you're joking. ------------------
