I have had my eye on Corey Maggette since his lone season at Duke three or four years ago and would really love to have him on this team. How does this trade grab you all and what do you think off Maggette?

    Walt and Langhi to LAC

Maggette and Sean Rooks to Houston

LAC gets an expiring contract which will help since they have to re-sign Odom and Brand in the next year or so. They don't have a real need for Maggette with their other wing players and Rooks does not play meaningful minutes. We get Maggette, at the very least an athletic player who can rebound, play some D, and run the floor, and Rooks helps to plug the gaping wound we have in the post for the remainder of this season.

Okay by me. I saw Magette score 12 points in the first quarter last night.

Whether or not the Clippers have room for Maggette is debatable, however it's not like they don't know his value. He is a stud young player, and if they do eventually trade him because of salary or playing time purposes, they could get a lot in return for him, or could package him with somebody else like Richardson or Miles and easily get a star in return. Walt and Langhi for him is ludicrous, and for them would have the same result as just waiving him as a salary dump. If they become extremely worried about signing Odom, Brand, Miles, Maggette, Richardson, McInnis, Olowokandi and Dooling when their contracts expire, then they would probably trade a few of the young guys wanting a lot of money, and package them for one really good player and just his contract by itself.
