It depends on what they think about Harrington. If they think they can't resign him, sure, they'd do it. They improve and it only costs them a spare part. On the other hand, they have Harrington locked up for another year at least as restricted and may need him as Artest insurance.

In short, I'd guess no, they won't yet, but I'd try anyway.

You anti - all trade people are silly. You can create a seperate all rah rah pom poms sunshine forum much easier than you can ban trade talk. Trade ideas are invitations to worthwhile discussions about the relative value of player styles, positions in a set, combinations of talents. I can't understand why you find that so threatening.

Does the salary match? Cato costs a lot of money.

I think Indiana would consider this because

    1. Cato is an upgrade over Foster and Pollard.
    2. Now can move J. Oneal to PF spot
    3. Harrington is wanting starter minutes which he is not getting
    4. They have 2 other capable SF in Bender and Croshere
    5. Piatkowski can backup Reggie Miller
    6. J. Tinsley is not even in the rotation, playing behind K. Anderson and Johnson.

The Rockets would consider this because

    1. Harrington is a big-athletic SF who can play PF if need be. He's young, plays hard and likes to d up.
    2. Pollard can play backup minutes at the C. although his D is not up to Cato's it is average.
    3. J Tinsley can play backup point.
    4. We can move JJ to 6th man backing up both 3 and the 4.

I would trade Cato plus filler for Kwame Brown plus filler, why?

Cato is at the peak of his career while Kwame has been bashed for so much. His trade value is relatively low.

Kwame is very athletic, long, and young. He is a good kid not like EG. There is one thing people do not realize, Kwame is a very good post defender. He held Duncan to 17 pt and 7 TO, J O'neal 15 pt. JVG will find the time for him. Cato is also very good defensively, but offensively, Kwame has so much upside. Plus Cato costs much more than Kwame.

If Rox can get Kwame for Cato and sign him into a long term contract after the season is over, Rox will be set at the front court which will be very formidable. Kwame is still not as productive as his #1 pick indicates, but it is good because teams can sign him into a low value long-term contract.

People might think kwame is a bust, but mark my word, he will be at least a 10-10 player.

The wizards have B. Haywood and E. Thomas already who does what Cato does. Why would they want Cato?

I like the trade, and I think they would've done it before Tinsley came back into the rotation. However, Tinsley's value is slowly rising again with each good performance, so I think they would say no to this.

However, if you replace Bender with Harrington, I think they'd jumpt at it. But then, we'd have to think abotu what we think Bender can do. He has a relatively hefty contract, so we should expect him to produce decent numbers here.

Bender is 7'0 tall, long, athletic, but he hasn't done anything since he came out of school. I would much rather have Harrington. Either Harrington or Artest would have to be involved if we are sending Cato who happens to be playing great. Pike and Boki they can have for Tinsley.

hmmm, what's the word for a number one *overall* pick in the NBA draft that becomes a "10-10 player" ... oh, that's right: BUST.

On on the offensive end, Kwame Brown makes Eddie Griffin look like Kevin McHale. Kwame is lost out there. His potential diminishes each passing game. People who are waiting for a Jermaine O'Neal-like rise will be waiting for a long long long time.

    We don't need him here.
